Hey there Lance and all sorry if this is a reply to an old message. I think I can answer this one as I live in the UK myself. We do (or I think did!) have DBZ DVD's in the UK, but they were dubbed by a Dutch firm called Bridge, however, it has not been sucessful, as apparently the voice cast was bad, the picture quality was bad, and names of characters were well, cheesy, such as Piccolo being called "Big Green" lol. But some sites like Amazon UK and other places are stocking up on the FUNimation dub, as it's better.Originally Posted by lheiskell
Also Ocean dubbed Dragonball Z from the Androids saga onwards. But Dragonball GT and Dragonball are dubbed by Oceans other company called Blue Water, which has a bad voice cast too, both companies don't hold any right to any DVD's apparently.
About FUNi not being in the UK, the only FUNi dub of DBZ shown here is the Ginyu saga up to early Trunks. We did have the Fusion saga, in Oct '02, but they changed it back to Ocean, shame. But we do have the FUNi cast on DBZ Budokai 2. But you see any Dragonball related stuff ere is distributed by a French firm called AB.
On this topic, I wonder if we are getting FUNi's re-dub of the Saya-jin and Namek saga's or not.
I do have one question Lance, I don't know if it is an easy one or not, but would FUNimation ever get any of thier dubbed animés here to the UK, not just the Dragonball series, that would be good, Toonami UK needs to expand the animés shown.
Sorry if this is a long message. But thanks for taking time.
