New episodes of MMNTW to be on Fridays starting this Friday.

    Like This Thread!
Funny I thought there wouldn't be new episodes of the show at all until the Spring of 2005. But I just heard that Kids WB is advertising new episodes of the show on Fridays starting this Friday.

I know that it has been deemed strange since Kids WB has only shown 21 out of approximately 50 episodes of the series (and out of order). Its been rumored that ShoPro will take episodes from "RockMan.Axess" and place them in the dub for MMNTW. However there is also a rumour that ShoPro dubbed a LOT more than 4 episodes that Kids WB won't let them show. (In fact I've heard that they never dubbed only a few episodes.) Needless to say I hope that the latter is correct. Though the chances of it being like that are not impossible. After all the alterations in the OTHER dubs from ShoPro are very few namely Hamtaro and all three of the Zoids shows. Don't forget that when it comes to ShoPro dubs, MMNTW is the exception not the rule. (And besides I'll gladly take MMNTW over some of 4Kids' worst anyway.)

Axcess has been picked up by 4kids though (probably still with ShoPro's help). But for Kids' WB.

However... there are far more than 4 episodes they didn't air I believe. There's the episodes they skipped in the first season as well as some they skipped the second one. I'm not sure which ones they skipped and which ones they just played out of order but I'm pretty sure it's more than 4.

    1. That was proven to be an insubstantiated rumor...

    2. I know Kids WB have shown only about 21 episodes. What I'm saying is if ShoPro dubbed much MORE than 21 episodes (as in more than the 4 episodes that were shown in Canada).

For all you people saying Yu-Gi-Oh! is the worst-dubbed show in anime history, it's not. YGO didn't skip any episodes, and certainly not half the series.

    Disagreed...

YGO is still the worst IMO especially in Battle City...

YGO is the worst for the simple reason is the dub if awful and horribly overdramatic (and takes itself seriously unlike the tongue in cheek Duel Masters which obviously does not).

If an anime skips episodes but is still a better "faked" show then its still better. Say what you want but Mega Man NT Warrior was enjoyable to watch despite some really pointless changes... YGO's dub is only occasionally entertaining and usually just because of its attitude (which I find hillarious) and the decent animation.

I disagree. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh!, some of NT's voice acting matches the characters. Dex's voice matches, GutsMan's voice matches, ColdMan's voice, HeatMan's, Lan's first voice, ProtoMan's, Bass', etc. Not one voice but Raphael fits any character in YGO!.

That's different, it's done by a different company.

[quote=What are you talking about? Two episodes were skipped [/quote]You mean those two episodes that were spliced with two other episodes?

Personally, I found the anime (what episodes I did manage to see, as it was running against Gargoyles) to be extremely lackluster. The animation was barely par, and the fighting make the original Mega Man look like Dragonball Z, and the plot waseven more paper-thin than Yu-Gi-Oh! or the BN games. And this is from someone who loves the Battle Network games.

Only some of the VA's were badly miscast (Trevor "Mu La Flaga" Devall as Mr. Match/Hino Ken). But there are also other VA's that fit the characters such as Tabitha St. Germain as Maddy/Madoi Iroiya, Ron Halder as Yahoot/Mahajorama, Kelly Sheridan as Sal/Saloma and more.

To be honest I think its more along the lines of Kids WB's fault that this happened. I mean remember that there wasn't a lot of alterations in the dubs of Zoids and Hamtaro and the like. After all do remember that MMNTW is the exception when it comes to ShoPro dubs, not the rule.

I kind of like Mr Match's voice, but the dialog is what kills it. The only other 2 voices I have a real big problem with a Roll's and IceMan's.

Oh, and yes, 4Kids skipping Yu-Gi-Oh! The Games of Darkness is not their fault, it was done by Toei, and got canned after 27 episodes. The voices were totally different, and so was the animation.

While it isn't too good of a series, I would really like someone to bring it to the US, even if they had to change the name on the DVD cover due to 4Kids' copyright. That is something I would be willing to sacrifice.

Well Deadly Messiah to be fair...

Direction might be more to blame on this one, because Trevor Duvall can do more than just his current voice on Mr. Match so he could do something different. Namely Samuel "Double D/Ahtrun Zala" Vincent as Ice-Man as well. (Though I did like Lenorre Zann's Roll voice though.)

That is your choice. For me, the voice acting in DM and music is so much better, and I love that it covers the later half of the manga, especially the Pharaoh's Memories arc.

The first series is like the manga, the beginning, which is what makes it kind of boring, to me anyway.

For me, it was more interesting seeing Yugi as being the 'King of Games' not the 'King of Cards'. Sure, the coloring and animation weren't too good, but it was a good series. Plus, I've heard some things were tone down in the DM series. Just look at episode one. It's pretty much a toned down version of Kaiba's first apparence, and Kaiba's Death-T challenge put together.

Undoubtedly. Cardcaptors was dubbed in the right order with all the episodes, and aired that way in many countries. The US airing on Kids WB was the only one with a good chunk of the series cut or rearranged.
