MegaMan NT Warrior "DenTech City's Deep Freeze!"(Kids'WB verison)-Talkback/Edits
Ooooh boy. The ep's airing, and it's already a mess due to the Crimson Flash scenes spliced in. I'll give an edit list after the ep airs and I can compare it with the Japanese verison...

Well,it wasn't THAT bad. I mean, it's not "Street Fight!" bad, edit-wise.
CutMan's voice sort of fits his character, but I prefer his Igor-like voice.
Man, Scott Mcneil is TALENTED!I usually thought he has a Wolverine-type voice, but after seeing him play CutMan sounding like a crazy man is talented! Keep up the good work!
So it looks like Mr. Famous has a British accent.
The best VA for FreezeMan, in my opinion, is Dan Green.
So Gospel is now Grave? Well, I can sort of see the connection.

He voiced Duo from Gundam Wing, Piccolo from DBZ, Rattrap & Dinobot & Waspinator & Silverbolt from Beast Wars, Lord Ratpr from Darkstalkers, Proto Man from the US version of Mega Man (and the anime OVA based on the original series). And not too mention Stratos, Beast Man, Ram Man, Merman on the new He-Man. And PLENTY more! Trust me Scott McNeil is FAR from being a one-trick pony.

(P.S: According to CrystalAcids David "Sesshomaru/Protoman" Kaye voiced FrezzeMan.)

Interesting. Same voice group as the original Mega Man cartoon, yet not one of the voice actors has the same role they did in the old show. Though I suppose McNeil's Wily is better for the mad scientist Wily than for World Three Wily. I think I'd prefer McNeil's Proto Man, though; strong yet cool. I don't think he makes a good GutsMan, though. Gimme Gary Chalk any day. Terry Klassen IS Cut Man.
As for today's episode, it was better than most "navi-causes-havoc-around-the-city" eps. Freeze Man shows that Grave Navis are easily "cooler" than those puny World Three navis (in my opinion, at least).

Agreed...

The MMNTW dub would be better if they did the casting on like how they did in the US series. And yes Scott McNeil was a much better Wily than Paul Dobson.

Oooo man, what a mess that was. The Kids'WB verison once again spliced in the scenes from Crimson Flash! into this episode. In fact, a lot of the original scenes from this episode were cut out due to this.
The beginning scene with Mr.Match with what's left of FireMan came from Crimson Flash! The episode orignally opened with the scene of Lan lying in the heat.
When Ribbita is talking about the Penguin cooler's features, there is a brief shot of a girl bathing that is cut out.
(CUT)-After the scene with Ribbita talking about the cooler, there is then a scene at Yahoot's Curry resteraunt. It basically had Count Zap and Madoi complaining how Yahoot had no air conditoner in the resteraunt. Then Mr.Famous enters. Then it goes to a scene of Lan and the gang walking to Yai's manison, with Lan still complaning about the heat. Then it goes to a scene of Yai relaxing by her pool, wondering why everyone else is late. She then goes to swim by herself. It then goes to the scene at the Net Agent's HQ where Sal and Miyuu are examining the Penguin coolers. In the Kids'WB verison, it cuts straight from Ribbita to the Net Agents.
The episode then continues as normal until after the Net Agents' are frozen by the penguin coolers.
A scene of Ribbita reporting on the sudden blizzard followed afterwards. This was cut in the Kids'WB verison.
Okay, now this is where things get confusing. In the Kids'WB verison, it then goes to footage from the Crimson Flash! episode where Famous is showing off HeatMan as he fights ElecMan, ColorMan, and MagicMan and explaining that he came to upload FireMan's data into HeatMan. Then it goes the scene of Famous and Madoi convincing Match to let him help.
It then goes back to footage from the original episode, to the scene where MegaMan tells Lan that they need to find a place to jack-in. In the Kids'WB verison it then cuts to the scene where Lan is suddenly caught in a blizzard and has lost his PET.
(CUT)In the original, Lan decides to go to Yai's house to jack-in first. It then goes to a scene where Famous is finishing his meal at Yahoot's resteraunt. In the original, Famous hadn't talked to Match at this point. Several penguin coolers walk up and then reliaze they cannot enter Yahoot's because it is too hot because the lack of AC there. One penguin cooler tries walking towards it, but overheats and falls over. Then Lan arrives at Yai's manison to find that it too is completly frozen over. This is where Lan finally notices that the penguins are the cause of everything. He then runs away as the penguins notice him and start trying to freeze him.
After the scene where Lan notices that he loses his PET, it goes to another cut scene of Ribbita making an emergency report that if the penguins continue then Japan will be completly covered in snow in the next five days. She is then buried alive as the blizzard continues to increase. It then shows a cut scene of the Net City frozen over, with FreezeMan looking at his giant ice tower.
Then it goes to another cut scene of Famous and the World Three members at Yahoot's resteraunt. This is after Famous has shown HeatMan's power, but before he talks to Match. They leave the resteraunt to get to where Match has FireMan's remains stored. At this moment they reliaze what has been going outside as they slip on the ice, making Famous lose his PET. Famous and the World Three members are then frozen by an army of penguins. How they get out is unknown, but that explains why Famous is sneezing and why the World Three members are wet in the scene where Famous and Madoi are talking to Match.
In the Kids'WB verison it instead goes to the scene from Crimson Flash where Match adds FireMan's data to HeatMan.
It then goes to the scene where Lan is looking through the snow to find his PET. Luckily, the episode pretty much plays out like the original from this point but there are a few more edits guys.
After Lan jacks in MegaMan and after they notice the giant ice tower, there is a cut scene of MegaMan fighting off some viruses.
-After MegaMan meets FreezeMan and alters the landscape, he says he did it because MegaMan could not have used battle chips in the city otherwise, and that he didn't want MegaMan holding back because he wanted to see the power that overwhelmed ShadowMan and CutMan. This dialouge was cut for two reasons.
1.In the previous episode, SharkMan gives MegaMan a license to use chips in the city. In the Japanese verison, it seems Lan and MegaMan lose it for some reason and can't use chips in the city anymore. The dub fixes this because Lan remembers that they still have the license.
2.Kids'WB is showing the eps out of order. In the episode before this one in the Japanese verison, Since that episode hasn't played yet here in the US, this line makes no sense.
- In the original, after HeatMan jacks out, it cuts to Lan turning over and noticing that the penguin cooler next to him has shut down. It then shows Lan and the gang relaxing at Yai's pool. Then it shows Match delivering a take-out order from Yahoot's. In the original verison Match tells HeatMan that they'll get along nicely. The episode ends as Match arrives at the customer's house. This was all cut, and in the Kids'WB verison after HeatMan jacks out, they just show a previous shot of the city right after it thaws out with Lan saying that everything's back to normal for the moment. Then it fades out.
That was a long edit list wasn't it? Well, folks, if Kids'WB has aired the dub in order like it did on Teletoon, we wouldn't have had all of them due to the fact that Crimson Flash! aired them. All the scenes cut due to fitting in the Crimson Flash footage were intact in the Teletoon verison.

....uhhhhh....
Sheesh, you'd think it'd be easier for WB to just air the show the way it was intended to be instead of going through all the trouble of cutting up episodes...

So, wait, Heatman just shows up in this episode without explanation, and then a later episode does a flashback to explain that Torchman/Fireman was defeated by Freezeman and uploaded into the Heatman frame? Did I get that right?
The whole thing seems like more trouble than it's worth for KidsWB to edit and rearrange it all.

Yep! You got that exactly right. And said flashback episode was right after this one in Japan and on the Teletoon run.
