Hayao Miyazaki Petition
Last year saw a on-line petition started when it was found out that the release of Princess Mononoke was going to be released in English and French only-no original Japanese language track. This sparked an outroar in the Anime community which caused both an on-line petition and a letter writing campaign. As a result, Princess Mononoke was delayed, but it included the original Japanese language track as well as subtitles and literal English subtitles.
Flash forward to now. A recent Inside article says that Disney felt that Mononoke was a collosal dud, and will not release any more of Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki's films, even through his latest film, Spirited Away, is set to break the Japanese box office.
Miyazaki is considered to be Japan's Walt Disney, and there are many fans of his work. There is a on-line petition as well as a letter writing campaign that has been started as a result of that article.
I, quite frankly, am surprised that Disney had the gall to call Mononoke a dud, especially considered how the theatrical release got first delayed, then had a extremely limited theatrical run that, if you blinked, you missed it. I realize that not everyone is a animation fan, but still, we all respect each others opinions, even if we do not agree with them.
You are also encouraged to send a nice, polite letter to:

It's easy to sign a on-line petition. It's harder to write a letter, but more effective.
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

I just figured I'd post the online petition URL again in case anyone missed it the last time.

But yeah, like Calhoun says, an actual letter is better.

OOps, thanks for covering me there! My bad, I thought the link was in the original post.
