The film finally opened in the Boston area, and I saw it this afternoon. What a visual stunner! Combined with Bruno Coulais' lovely, Celtic-flavored score, Kells is a delight for the senses, and another example that hand-drawn animated posesses a graphic quality that CGI can never quite replicate. The story is a bit slight (hey, it's a 75-minute movie), but I found the film to be poetic and involving. Recommended!
