I just ran a little test at mainstream Wiki and it seems to have the same case-sensitive issue, so I don't know if this is something we can change with any sort of forthcoming technical update or something. I doubt it.
The one workaround I see is using redirection pages, Ultimately, we just need to make sure to conform to the correct style so that we don't have redundancy. Now that I think about it, articles actually do have to be categorized the same way in order for the category lists to be complete.
