Technically speaking, are Sailor Moon R, S, etc different series or different seasons? There's a distinction there we need to figure out. Did they air one after the other or did some time pass between each one?

I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
They aired one after the other. Like Dragon Ball, there were no gaps in between seasons of Sailor Moon.
The Anime News Network Database list them as five different series http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...ime.php?id=363
I used to watch Sailor Moon as a kid when I was in Grade 4.
Anyways, as for Sailor Moon Classic, Sailor Moon R, and Sailor Moon S (those were the ones that aired in North America if I remember correctly) I believe that the villians were different. Although some new Sailors came in some of the later series. It is kind of the same series but just with different main villans.
Super S aired in the US as well. Stars was the one that never aired.

Every other place I've checked lists them as seasons. I guess it could go either way. Though I don't remember any large time gaps between the airings.
Should the names of the movies be on the page? And should there be mention of it's various other spinoff's, or is this -strictly- animation?
I used to collect the videos with German dub.
