Category:1990s animated series

Right now this category defines a 1990s series as an "animated series originating in the 1990s", but I think maybe this should be loosened up a little to include any cartoons that were still having episodes produced in they 90s, even if the premiered earlier. I mean, if a series premiered in 1989 and continued through the 90s, then it might be a little more accurate to put it in both the 90s and (currently non-existent) 80s categories...

That sounds like a good idea. When I started the category, my fear was people would start putting it on shows AIRING during that time that were no longer in production. Random example, Disney airing the 90's Marvel stuff in the 2000s.

Okay, I've got round to altering the description:

Articles covering animated series which had some or all episodes produced during the 1990s.
This category does not include series that were being rerun in the 1990s, but had ceased production by then.

That's a little cumbersome, though, so if anyone can tighten it up, go ahead.
