    Birdman!

    Like This Thread!
Tonight's episode was pretty good. It had Apache Chief from Superfriends get coffee spilled in his....er....lap. And he lost the ability to....er.....enlarge. We got to see Wonder Twin Zan and Black Lightning. I loved the Muticulture Friends (or whatever they were) esp. the French Tickler and Jesse Jackson. I think I missed a couple of them because I was laughing so much.

I noticed Stephen Colbert's name in the credits! It must be the same guy from the Daily Show.

The animation was different, I guess they had a different studio do this one.

I thought tonight's "Harvey Birdman" was pretty funny. I also liked the Multiculture Pals. Hope they turn up again. (Maybe they could get their own show and replace "AquaTeen HungerForce.") I liked the bear at the end, too. Maybe it's the Multiculture Pals' mascot.

Maybe the change of studios explains why it took three weeks for the second Birdman to air. Hope it's not another three weeks for the next episode.

CN is showing one of my favorite Space Ghost episodes now: the one with Jerry Springer & Sarah Jessica Parker. The highlight for me is Zorak's story about rocking with Boston.

That's one of my fave SGs too. I liked the mentions of "the s*x" and the fight with C. Ling Tile. Hilarious. I feel like it's been on a lot lately though, they need to pick the ones they show more randomly. Or maybe just start at the beginning and go through to the latest ones, at least for the second slot which is always a repeat.

The difficulty for this episode's airing was due to a switchup at the last moment, thus causing a 3-week delay.

The original episode was going to be "Shaggy Busted", but CN decided not to hit so hard due to the 9/11 events, and put another, still shocking but less edgy, episode in its place. Thus causing general mayhem.

Shaggy Busted will air next month now.

I liked this ep. Dodgy stuff having Zan being Wonder Woman's bathwater; I guess that's what makes it Adult. I wonder, tho, why they didn't include Samurai & El Dorado with Black Vulcan & Apache Chief. Imo El Dorado would've been better than Juan Gigante. And Samurai or someone should've represented the Orient.

I noticed that, too. Whom did he voice, do you know? Or maybe he's doing a number of characters, like the Simpsons voice actors do. At least he has a respectable role outside of the Daily Show now! His role on Strangers With Candy is something I just want to forget.

I also noticed Gary Cole is a voice as well. He must do Harvey Birdman. I thought that was cool. He was hilarious in Office Space, and he's also been in the Brady Bunch movies and in A Simple Plan.

If the Hayes Office would let me, I'd give 'im the Boidman all right!

In the words of The Golden Girls' Sophia Petrillo, "I laughed till I peed. And then I laughed at that." The prosecuting attourney's use of a fair indian maid to get Apache Chief to...well...grow was sheer brilliance. And the moment in Harvey's office where she kisses him and he shoots up a foot, then blushes. The thought of Jesse Jackson as a superhero is too funny for words--he pretty much believes he's one already, though he hasn't been viable since Good Times left the airwaves. "I was the bathwater. Form of...a sponge!"

No, I don't know who Colbert voiced. I'll try to figure it out during the next showing, but I dunno if it'll be recognizable.

Matt--let us know when that Shaggy ep. is going to air if you get any advanced notice. That should be great! I have a brother who's a Scooby fan so I'll have to warn him to watch that one.

I'm kind of confused why "WTC attack" leads to "Shaggy can't be accused of being on drugs," but I guess I'll wait until I see the ep. before slamming the execs.

I thought that the Hunger Force with the Rabbit-bot was good, the leprechaun one was less good but still enjoyable. I think it's a decent show, but given the choice I would pick Birdman.

    A Nosty rip-off?

There's a mad scientist on Harvey Birdman: Attorney at law, and he almost rip-off nostrodomus.

Unlike Nosty, that evil scientist keep saying "back off", just like Nosty's phrase, "shut up".

Are they ripping off Nosty's phrase

    just curious.

Now I'm confused. Was Zan the bathwater & a sponge? In the '70's series Zan always changed into an ice or water something while Jayna (his sister) changed into an animal. This was even explored in one of those CN bumpers. ("Who's the villain? A sponge?" er sum junk) Maybe Jayna was in on the act too, since technically a sponge is an animal. I'd better get out of this while I still can.

I'm guessing WW was using a sponge.

I think you're going too far saying that Jayna was a sponge. Besides, the sponge that you find in a store is not the same thing as the sponge you find in the sea. Perhaps this confusion is created by Spongebob?

    I'm with Belch

Had my first exposure to "Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law" last night with this episode and thought I was going to faint, I was laughing so hard. I thought it was brilliant (and dodgy) having the man shield his wife's eyes in the opening sequence when Apache Chief grows; little did I suspect the entire ep would focus on just that region.

Zan's appearance (in the flashback) was the funniest bit, but I think I appreciated more the counterpoint of the rival attorney obsessed with his shrink ray: I'm assuming that's why he regarded his courtroom victory as a kind of defeat.
