    Ahem....

I missed Home Movies because I was watching Futurama, which concerned balls from outer space.

The Brak Show concerned Zorak's new singing career. When a killer robot mistakenly zaps Zorak while looking for his neighbor Thundercleese, he manages to cough up a pink glob that had been living in his throat and gains a new deeper voice. My brother was amazed at the amount of profanity the bug used during his number at the school talent show. While Brak is jealous of his friend's success and tries to reinvent himself, the gob soaks Zorak and runs off with the profits. Also, about 600 killer robots wander into Brak's house looking for Thundercleese. In the second half, Zorak throws away Brak's lobster doll Hippo after he catches him talking to it. Thundercleese understands the pain of his loss, as in his youth he lost a beloved doll to thieving gypsies. Brak is torn apart by Zorak's cruelty until his mother gets him a new doll, a doctor, from a stinking gypsy at the bus station. Zorak tries to get rid of the new doll but finds it easier than it looks, as it has a mind of its own.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force was senseless garbage. Don't bother with it.

I missed Sealab 2021 because Saliah got fussy and I had to walk with her outside to get her to sleep.

Space Ghost has some good moments involving his hissy fit followed by walking off the show and trying to make friends with a new group of heroes whose HQ is a hole in the ground. meantime, Moltar and Zorak buddy up to Dave Thomas (Grace Under Fire--not the dude from the Wendy's ads). Acting the part of a diva, SG continually interrupts the taping, saying he's leaving the show to be with his new friends, who don't want him either. The first half was all right, but the second half, featuring Donny Osmond, was lame. SG didn't even think to ask him about Mormons, their sacred underwear they aren't allowed to take off, and what happens if they accidentally crap themselves.

Cowboy Bebop introduced Faye Valentine, a gambling girl who later integrates herself into the Bebop "family". The first episode was about a poker chip with a secret codebreaker code implanted in it; the second was about militant animal rights nuts with a virus that turns folks into monkeys. High point was Faye cuffed to the toilet and having to pick the lock, then sneaking out of the john with her pants down (not quite sure if she pulled them down herself or the scarred dude with the metal arm assisted her). Look carefully and you'll note an officer reading a skin rag with a blue bikini top and bottom digitally painted on. One very graphic scene where a crime boss blows away an underling, then steps right on his dead face while he lies on the floor.

ya know what's weird..is Adult Swim is on Wednesday nights here..and I think it's also on the weekends...I'm not sure what's going on..

I saw 2 of the BRAK shows...those were pretty good..unfortunantly..my V-Chip kicked in and I couldn't watch anything else (it blocks TV-14 shows)

The Brak Show continues to be my favorite in the Adult Swim line up. I didn't even bother trying to watch Home Movies (and forgot to watch the Man Show, too! Grrrrrr) and I also have to wonder why Aqua Teen Hunger Strike or whatever it was called made the cut for shows. You cannot expect me to believe they had nothing else to put on in that slot. Even reviving the Downloads show from MTV would be better and a great Adult Swim program. I think Aqua Teen Hunger Force was the worst animated program I have seen. EVER.

Space Ghost disappointed me only cuz it was a re run. I thought they were doing new episodes.

Sealab wasn't as good as last week, either. The Brak Show was the only high light of the Adult Swim line up last night. Well, there is Cowboy Bebop, too, which is going to be the highlight every time Adult Swim is on.

Home Movies: Didn't watch it. Don't think I'll ever watch it again.

Brak: Oh dear lord, the first episode was funny! There's no way simply hearing Zorak be abusive in that suave voice should have kept being that funny, yet somehow it did. The second ep was less funny, but still good.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Er. Um..... er. It was just more strange than anything, and the non-sequiturs weren't nearly as funny as they were in Space Ghost. It wasn't nearly as non-interesting as, say, Home Movies, but it could have been better. Maybe it'll get better, I don't know. But the music was done by Schooly D! Schooly D, people! Am I the only person old enough to remember him?

Sealab: Not as good as the first episode, but then again, how do you follow that? I was pretty happy with what we got, and the send-up of lame shock jocks was spot-on. Maybe this show won't be quite the one-note joke I was expecting it to be.

Space Ghost: Ah, I missed the "sealth premiere" of The Justice Hole, so I was glad to finally see it. It wasn't nearly as brilliant as Knifin' Around, but it's still funny, funny stuff.

Cowboy Bebop: So good I'm going to have to shell out money for the DVD set. Damn you, Cartoon Network, for having the guts to show such fascinating stuff!

They are doing new episodes, the only problem is that the they only got around to making five of them (two or three of which aired before AS started).

Actually I liked the episode more for the jabs at the FCC.

Right now for me it's a tie between The Brak Show and Sealab 2021 as to which will become my second favorite show on the block (first place went to Cowboy Bebop long before AS started airing).

Well, to be silly, I'll add that TECHNICALLY that WAS a "new" episode of Space Ghost, cuz it only premiered like a week or two ago. Hehehe. Anyway, I like the line up a lot, but I don't really know how long the none Brak/Space Ghost shows will last. But Brak and Space Ghost are hilarious so that's what matters. Well, to me anyway.

That show that's animated by the people who did Dr. Katz (Katz himself guest started in the ep I saw matter of fact) made me laugh as much as Space Ghost and Brak though. I really love it, but a small small part of me would rather just have Dr. Katz back.

That is an unusually un-BELCHlike review, considering your ability to see beauty in crap.

    Well--

--there wasn't one beautiful woman to look at, just a fat hairy man, some leprechans, and some fast food that apparantly wasn't refrigerated properly. Not to mention having a squalling baby near one's ear can really decrease one's enjoyment of a program....

Heh. All brand-new lineups start off a little shaky. The AS lineup isn't the flashiest exhibition of cartoons at the current time, but hopefully the success of a couple of shows will help it grow.

Well to agree with most becase they are right, the Brak Show is Hilarious, and I manage to watch Cowboy Bebob which I enjoy as well, but I missed most of them thought
This is very similar to the suggestion put forward by the Quirmian philosopher Ventre, who said, "Possibly the gods exist, and possibly they do not. So why not believe in them in any case? If it's all true you'll go to a lovely place when you die, and if it isn't then you've lost nothing, right?" When he died he woke up in a circle of gods holding nasty-looking sticks and one of them said, "We're going to show you what we think of Mr Clever Dick in these parts..."

Sting, I think that AS will be shown on Sunday and rerun on Thursday (thank Heaven, 'cause I missed it on Sunday night.)

Home Movies - This show is really growing on me, and I mean that in a good way. This episode was even funnier than last week's. I could swear that every bit of dialogue was improvised; if it was scripted, the performers hide it well. And it was nice to see that the Doctor (guest voice Jonathan Katz) was in.

The Brak Show - So much to love...Zorak insulting people with his "beautiful man voice"...Brak's beet number...Dr. Grumbles...this show just keeps getting better and better.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Yikes. Except for the fries, there was not a single likable character. The whole prospect is...nauseating. There were a few laughs (mostly toward the beginning), but overall, Doc Belch said it best. Everywhere I go, people say that HM is the worst show on AS. I think we have a new champion.

Sealab 2021 - Pretty dull, that is until the Captain takes over the airwaves and all comedic Hell breaks loose. Fignuts! (can I say that?)

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast - I haven't quite warmed up to the show yet. The laughs are there, but it's just not clicking with me.

Cowboy Bebop - The two episodes that introduced me to Faye Valentine. Both were quite good, especially the first ("Honky Tonk Women"). I kind of expected Faye to be a seductive smooth operator. She sure is seductive (to me, at least), but the "smooth operator" part... the fact that she's...well...not makes me like her even more.

I can't wait to see what else is in store, for CB and AS.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

Quite honestly, ATHF was the biggest pile of garbage on AS. Jeez.....and I thought HM was bad enough, but I really love Cowboy Bebop. This sunday's episode is "Ballad of Fallen Angels" right? Now I just need to find that "Real Folk Blues" song.

Oooh... "Ballad of Fallen Angels" was many Japanese fans' favourite episode. Myself, I think Act 3 of this episode was very...unique and different.

Violent, though. Lots of thugs get shot up in this episode.

From what I saw, it looked like a pretty good episode. From what I hear it was a good episode. I'll make sure to watch it.

I really love Cowboy Bebop's ending theme too.

    Real Folk Blues

I have all the CD soundtracks to Cowboy Bebop (there are three of them) and Real Folk Blues is not on them. What I really want is an english version of that song. The lyrics rock.

Watch out for time changes this weekend on Cowboy Bebop, folks. There are rumours that they may move CB to a different slot (maybe later) for this weekend to avoid flak from episode 5.
