Comedy central could air EVA TV AND movie nearly unedited

    Like This Thread!
I started thinking, they could air both unedited except for language edits. They have no problem with simulated sex (What Planet Are you From),nudity in an animated form is again no problem (South Park,Crank Yankers),violence is not in animated form (the horrendous **** they do in South Park not to mention all the **** they pulled in Dogma) and religious **** once again no problem (Dogma,South Park, etc.)

just got me thinking about all those *******s saying EVA will never air on US TV.

Well they certainly could, but would they is the important question. Thats an obvious answer. Its the same thing with Cartoon Network. From a content standpoint they could certainly air the show lightly edited on Adult Swim, but there's much, much more to airing a show than whether or not the content can be handled.
The Lone Gunmen. Harsh Realm. John Doe. Firefly. Boston Public. Wonderfalls. And now MadTV. FOX must DIE!!!!!!

I don't know, they;ve been airing more and more drama oriented movies and EVA does have it's share of comedic moments, but yeah,it is 99% unlikely. But I just hate it when people say EVA has no chance on US TV because of it's "content".A random thought

I love your avatar and title, Stanteau. Marry me. Clerks cartoon REPRESENT.

As for EVA on Comedy Central.. of course they COULD, but they wouldn't. Only the first half or so has a substantial amount of Comedy in it.

Then again, Comedy Central DID air "Sports Night"..

First off, I loved Sports Night. Second off, this thread sadly has nothing to do with Adult Swim or Cartoon Network which is one reason it will likely be closed shortly. Third, it would be more likely to see Eva on Sci Fi than on Comedy because Eva isn't funny unless your a sadist, masochist, dominatrix, or extremely religious (and crazy) or anti-religious (and crazy). I doubt that's a whole hell of a lot of the population...

Because this thread was OT from the beginning, I think that Sports Night's first season was great, but the second season was too melodramatic and soap opera-ish.

    Ummm...

ive had this arguement with you before Sheamon about how well Eva could be shown on ASA and i do think (especially with seeing the way that they are doing IY) that they could show the tv series...EoE is just to much still though. it is way to violent...way to psychological and disturbing that it will be a while before they even think of showing it on the station.
Aren't you tired of all of this? I know I am.
