Nice. A VA we can all enjoy.

Just to have actual content in this post... don't for get Beau Billingslea is also the VA for Admiral Cowen for Gundam 0083 and the opening narrator for Outlaw Star in addition to being Jet Black on Bebop.

    I thought it was him.

Alot better than the computer voice. I wonder if ASA gets an overhaul now? Or do we still have to put up with the computer voice some more?

Put up with the computer voice? I liked it.
When did this change happen anyway? I didn't notice anything. Of course I only watch the first hour and somehow manage to miss a lot of the commercials.
Well, whatever. I like Beau Billingslea and I like Jet Black so it's fine by me I guess. But I Wonder why they did this...

Hey, I didn't see THAT much of a problem with the ASA voice. I thought it was mighty damn cool. What's wrong with it?

Oh, well. I guess Jet Black wouldn't be that bad of a narrator himself, now, would he?

It's ironic, don't you think? The current narrator of Toonami does the voice of Spike and the ASA narrator (soon to be) does the voice of Jet. They'll both be one unstoppable team now!

By the way, when does the computer voice leave? And when and where did you get this information?

What was wrong with it? Besides being MacSpeak, easily the most over-sampled artificial voice ever? Besides it just sounding like the cheap HAL-knockoff that's trying to make things seem SOOO cool and futuristic? Nothing, I guess =)

It's not much, really. Beau narrated a new Yu Yu Hakusho promo that aired directly after ASC last night.

Most voice actors do many different sounding cartoon characters. But Spike, Gene, and Roger Smith not only have the same American voice actor, they don't even sound different! It's just like Bobby Hill, Otto, and Rusty the Boy Robot are all the same voice. I think the Oblong boy also has the Bobby Hill voice.

It's quite confusing. They could be the same or they could be different. It all boils down to SAG rules and junk like that. David Lucas said they were two different people, but for all we know he could be just trying to cover his ass so he doesn't get in trouble.

It's best not to talk about it. You never know when a head honcho at the SAG is browsing forums and people are connecting non-union names with union ones. And that could cause real problems for the actors.
"The advance is hip right now, but the original has a place in my heart, unlike pocket which only had the plastic grey, though color had killer appies for things like the sewing machine, not much use for virtual anymore, huh."

Artemis makes an excellent point. Theorize all you want, but it is NOT cool to make too many assumptions when it comes to non-union VAs... if they're doing it under an assumed name, you need to watch out or you can get sued for claiming it. Just an FYI.

Steve Blum IS NOT David Lucas. End of point.

Actually Gene Starwind is voiced by Robert Wicks not David Lucas.
