    Here we go.

    << Adult Swim Action
    - Trigun is aquired and will be shown at 11PM
    - ASA starts one hour earlier at 10 PM. >>

Probable. I don't know if Trigun could be acquired by the fall though.

<<- Yu Yu moves to 10 PM and is shown in an hour chunk >>

    Works for me.

    <<- CBB moves to 12 AM>>

Possible. Possible. But Bebop is still the mascot of the block so they'll probably keep it in the spotlight.

<<- Gundam Wing, Big O and Robotech find there way into the end of the block. >>

Williams Street is not going to put Gundam Wing on ASA because Gundam Wing has not only been run to death but does not fit the ASA demographic, even uncut.

And they don't own the rights to Robotech.

<<- Gundam 0083 and Pilot Candidate are dropped from the block>>

    Not 0083. Pilot Candidate, sure.

<<- Zeta Gundam makes its way into the block towards the end of the fall or the start of the new year(and is rated correctly for AS standards)>>

You're getting ahead of yourself. Z Gundam acquisitions would've been announced by Bandai if they were coming in the Fall. Right now, only G Gundam and Char's Counterattack are set for CN, and if Z or ZZ Gundam get picked up, Bandai would be the first to tell about it.

<<- They finally start showing Obolongs.>>

    Definitely.

<<- Mission Hill moves to 11PM and CN buys new episodes.>>

    Moves to 11. Sure.

    Buys new episodes? No.

<<- New Home Movies, Sealab, ATHF and Birdman of course.>>

    Don't forget Aquaman and Friends.

<<- Either Family Guy, Futurama, Duckman or The Critic is picked up.>>

Again, this would've been announced way ahead of time if that were true.

And Cartoon Network is not going to pick up The Critic. Comedy Central still has the rights to it and why would CN bother picking up a show that old? It'd be impossible to renew. And no, I don't count the Flash series because that's done with a much, MUCH smaller staff, and doesn't even have a consistent animation studio.

    <<- SGC2C gets dropped>>

    Probably.

    my prediction:

Australia finally gets ASA and the mighty Cowboy Bebop. Just on the another note, if we do get ASA soon, then we might not have endure either outlaw/PC as we have eva, which would probably be slotted with Yu Yu repeats (the whole first series has already been shown in Toonami ), and Cowboy Bebop. Don't have a clue what would be the 4th show shown.

Hope so for Australia, since international CN blocks usually get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to features. I've seen Toonami UK, and TOM doesn't even TALK. He just pushes the button. The only time he did talk was when they aired "Intruder" and "Lockdown" otherwise he's Silent TOM.

You guys should at least have a couple more Gundams (Wing sucks, seriously). We're approaching our sixth soon. Tell CN AU to get Mobile Suit Gundam!

but, you guys have Cardcaptors! (laughs)

I found the cardcaptors movie to be surprisingly good. And Wing was so bad, it was funny. In fact, it was so funny, it should be aired on ASC if it ever appears on AS.

They just started showing it again in the slot Yu Yu was on. (Its like the 6th time they've shown it).

My best guess is that The Oblongs was pushed back because CN is having troubles showing it earlier than 11. Otherwise, I don't see why they had the delay.

Here's my problem with why you're all saying they won't air Gundam Wing.

They're airing Pilot Candidate. That is targeted to a crowd barely older than Hamtaro's. Don't say it's not mature enough when 75% of Adult Swim is just as immature. The run to death doesn't work either. Tenchi was run for a full year, non-stop. They never took it off once until a year after it premiered. It ran non-stop for a year, then it's run again at the end of the year, then again on Adult Swim right after it's taken off Toonami. It has been run to death an equal amount, if not more than Gundam Wing. It's the same way with Outlaw Star, which has been run 9 times now. It's not going anywhere. Gundam Wing is more mature than Tenchi and Pilot Candidate, although not as mature as Outlaw Star, ASA's main crowd would accept Gundam Wing with open arms.

Anyway, my prediction is as follows. Gundam Wing will not replace 0083 because its too long. 0083 continues until the new stuff comes in. Yu Yu Hakusho airs new episodes after a "best-of" feature rather than airing all the episodes again, Inu-Yasha comes in, Big O airs uncut, then with new episodes, Zeta Gundam is announced. Trigun is announced. The schedule is now:

11:00 - Yu Yu Hakusho (I don't see it moving)
11:30 - Inu-Yasha (It needs a good timeslot to premiere)
12:00 - The Big O (Needs a good timeslot to build up fanbase, no longer Toonami edits so officially AS material)
12:30 - Cowboy Bebop (It's starting to get old, but nothing better to put here)
1:00 - Mobile Suit Gundam (Most adult of the Toonami material)
1:30 - Outlaw Star (Yes, I see this continuing. OS is the most popular AS Toonami show. I see it running until one more new thing, like Trigun and Zeta Gundam come in.

New Home Movies episodes premiere right next to new Baby Blues. Birdman, ATHF, Brak, and Sealab continue with new episodes. SGC2C shows up as an Adult Swim Special with a series finale. Oblongs airs. A new season of Home Movies and Mission Hill (I know it sounds unlikely) are announced. The schedule is:

10:00 - Home Movies (Big surprise)
10:30 - Baby Blues (Not too different)
    11:00 - AHTF
    11:15 - Birdman
    11:30 - Sealab
11:45 - Brak/SGC2C (I see SGC2C airing in some of the WS originals slots, because nobody really wants it gone, but it's too dead for a half-hour slot)
    12:00 - Mission Hill
    12:30 - Oblongs

As you can see, it looks like WS will probably be pumping more into ASA than ASC. While everything on ASC is new except Mission Hill, there are no new aquisations or anything like that.

But Tenchi was more than one series. They showed Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi in Tokyo a lot more than they showed Tenchi Universe.

And I like Hamtaro... more than I like Pokemon... and really bad sandwiches...

If I had to make the closest guess to what they will air in Fall 2002 I would say this:

    Adult Swim Action

Despite popular belief, Adult Swim Action is good. They just don't have enough programs to fill up 4 hours. If anything is going to expand, it will be Adult Swim Comedy. That has more shows.

They might drop Pilot Canidate, depends if they want to air Big O, Big O 2, or a second Yu Yu in its place. They would get rid of Outlaw Star, before they got rid of Cowboy Bebop.

    Adult Swim Comedy

It depends on if they have Ripping Friends by then. Here is what I hope for:

10:00 & 10:30 PM New Home Movies and Home Movies repeat or New Home Movies and Baby Blues or New Home Movies and Ripping Friends
11:00 PM The Oblongs (maybe, I'm using artistic license)
11:30 PM Anything is a guess: sitcom repeats, Williams Street shows, maybe they could even influence the BS&P to move Mission Hill here.
12:00 AM Mission Hill will be on the block somewhere, this will most likely be it.
12:30 AM repeat of one of their sitcoms.
Post-Adult Swim 1:00 AM & 1:30 AM Popeye Show, and something else. I would love Freakazoid, SGC2C or Cartoon Planet.

Ah, I giggled a little bit reading this thread. Okay. Some more responses.

Here's my problem with why you're all saying they won't air Gundam Wing.

They're airing Pilot Candidate. That is targeted to a crowd barely older than Hamtaro's. Don't say it's not mature enough when 75% of Adult Swim is just as immature.
Here's my problem. You're not looking into the future.

You seem to think that Adult Swim Action will always remain a block for Toonami-editted immaturity.

And, to put it bluntly, you're VERY wrong. Williams Street is so secretive about what nuggets of gold they've gotten for ASA that they won't tell anyone about most of the deals.

There's no need to air Gundam Wing because they already have shows to fill time with in the future, and I don't mean more reruns.

Another reason why Gundam Wing will NOT be airing is because ADULT SWIM IS NOT A BANDAI INFOMERCIAL. 4 series on the block are already by Bandai, 2 of which are Gundam. Williams Street is not going to go over that line. Because then it will discourage distributors from pitching shows. It would be unfair to a lot of people.

ASA's main crowd would accept Gundam Wing with open arms.
ASA's crowd of teenagers are acknowledged, but they aren't the focus of the block and they certainly won't be welcome in the future. Again, think about the FUTURE, not the PRESENT.

-"Pilot Candidate" will get it's ass kicked off the air
    Seems that way.

-"Mr.Bean The Animated Series" will be picked up
Actually, that's pretty probable. It's been very well received in Britain.. although I don't know if the producers want to air the show in America.

    - "Outlaw Star" will be shown uncut
If Williams Street only had time to fix ONE episode of a 13-episode series(0083), how do you expect them to cover a 26-episode series? Not gonna happen.

    - "Dick King-Smith's The Foxbusters" will be picked up along with Aardman's "Rex The Runt"
    Just, no.

    - no more Gundam
Yeah, and maybe David Cross is straight.

    - Possibly maybe a New Season of "Harvey Birdman"
They're going to judge how well the 20 new episodes do before choosing to renew it again.

    - "Oblongs" will air (alright) BUT it will never last
the WB cancelled it after 1 season --- REMEMBER
News flash, genious. UPN cancelled Home Movies after 3 episodes.

And with rumors of Ripping Friends coming as well, AS may actually stand for "Animation Shelter." Just think of the new slogans:

AS, giving refuge to the battered.
    - works on two levels, being a home for cancelled shows and being a home for sub-culture characters like us.

A few have mentioned Zeta Gundam. Let me remind you that it hasn't even been that long since they finished up with G Gundam and Char's Counterattack. Considering the upcoming releases of those 2, and considering that it would take atleast 6 months to translate, dub and prepare for release Zeta Gundam, there is no point whatsoever in having it in an atleast somewhat legitimate prediction thread. A 'What do you want on ASA' thread is one thing, but this thread doesn't seem like one to me considering we'd get the typical well deserved flames and complaints about it by now. Z Gundam won't even be released in this country until 2003 at the earliest (it could certainly be even longer) so there really isn't a point in mentioning it all since a show that hasn't even been dubbed sure as hell doesn't have a chance of showing up on the block

Anyway, I frankly don't know what to predict. There's no track record to say what they'll do. The block is still fairly new, and has had few high profile additions. There's still no proof that they'll go to a more mature route yet, atleast on ASA, since we've had no additions to the block so far. So all I'll say is that it won't suprise me to see Pilot Candidate removed and replaced with Big O when its current run is finished. Of course by then it'll be fall and we might have new shows meaning there's no point in rerunning Big O (unless one of them is season 2 of course, but I highly doubt anything will be ready by then).

And enough with Gundam Wing! -_- I don't care how many times they aired other stuff, GW was aired a ridiculous amount of times and doesn't deserve an ASA spot. The show's 49 eps long as well, meaning the odds of it finishing on the block is unlikely. As for Tenchi, what you're forgetting, among other things, is that Tenchi started a number of months after Gundam Wing did while getting yanked only shortly after GW did during that period of hell last year. Its also 65 eps, 16 more than GW. And while GW got run on the midnight run over and over again throughout 2000, Tenchi got one chance there and was yanked mid run. I speak from experience because I was screwed over the first time watching the show since they cancelled it right in the middle. I wouldn't say Tenchi is a good comparison to GW, atleast on this matter. Regardless, its a case of 'well everyone else is doing it so I should too!'. Thats something little kids say, not people who work at a successful television network. Gundam Wing won't return, atleast on ASA.
The Lone Gunmen. Harsh Realm. John Doe. Firefly. Boston Public. Wonderfalls. And now MadTV. FOX must DIE!!!!!!

I can help out with some of the questions.

    1. Zeta Gundam was in preproduction a couple of months ago. From what I hear, dubbing has commenced and will be ready for 2003.

    2. GW has been milked to death. I don't think anyone wants to see it again. If you do, BUY IT!

    3. Trigun, trigun, trigun. How many times has the CN said no to thee? I bet it will continue to say no.

Actually, the times CN said no to thee, were all when it was pitched to Toonami. Reason for rejection was there is too much gun usage in the show. And we've seen Cowboy Bebop, and guns are obviously not an issue on AS.

My Predictions (Some of which are wishful):
-Home Movies Season 3 (already announced) is a big success and kicks off the comedy block. Season 4 begins production for late spring.
-Big O 2, after much speculation and wishful thinking by AS fans, arrives, sadly, on Toonami. It might have an unedited ASA run though.
-Trigun and Inu Yusha pop up on ASA.
-Space Ghost is dropped but receives no finale, instead falling off the block and into animation history.
-Baby Blues Season 2 airs, nobody cares.
-Pilot Candidate is out, Outlaw Star following it, but all the others stay.
-The Brak Show is cancelled, but ATHF, Sealab, and HB:AAL are all renewed.
-Aquaman and Friends is a failed experiment.
-Mission Hill finds a larger audience, is moved up to an 11 timeslot.
-Though appreciated by the fans, the ratings for Mobile Suit Gundam are dissapointing.
-Editing restrictions are loosened a good deal on both blocks, more TV-MA shows likely.
    -AS attracts much mainstream press.
"So pray for peace until you're hoarse, and maybe fear will run its course.
May God forgive us our insanity, and we'll keep pressing on."
