good ol' Home Movies. everybody loves Home Movies and it's here to stay for ever and ever and ever until the end of time.
I'm noticing while watching these 1st season episodes that season 2 is much more developed and funny. can it possibly get better in season 3?
    A

    Baby Blues
zzzzzzzzzzzz. for a cartoon sitcom set in the suburbs to be engaging, it must be edgier than this.
    C+

    ATHF
Rabbot: I've seen this episode too many times, however...
    A-

    Sealab
not one of the better episodes. in the better episodes, things actually happen like squids or orphans being eaten by sharks or man-eating monsters.
    B+

    Mission Hill
is every one of these episodes just going to be those brothers fighting about something nobody cares about? I like the atmosphere and some of the background characters, but these plots are just so mundane. still, it's better than Dilbert. it's better than Duckman. it's better than the PJs.
    B

    SGC2C
a good pair of episodes, especially the one with the kids suing SG.
    "rotten hippie monster commune!"
"without me you'd be stuck on the Herculoid planet following Gleep and Gloop with a broom."
    A-

    Majin_Megabyte's review
    gets my lowest possible rating:
    A++++ (4 plusses out of a possible 39 plusses)

    adult swim comedy reviews

I'll be updating this RIGHT after Mission Hill. Until then...

good ol' Home Movies. everybody loves Home Movies and it's here to stay for ever and ever and ever until the end of time.
And with that, my AS hell has been described.
(begins screaming at the thought of liking 1st Season HM. Note that 2nd season is rarely bashed )

Home Movies: Squiggles still there. An insult to the squigglevision of Dr. Katz. Give me a call when 2nd season comes in. That way, the jokes start to make me laugh. C-

Baby Blues: All I can say is that you MUST love the beginning of the episode. Predictable at times, but much funnier than a few SeaLabs and ATHFs. Alas, the show begins to tumble next week. B+

ATHF: Ugh. Not the Rabbot episode. In the words of Comic Book guy on the simpsons, "Worst. Episode. Ever." F

SeaLab 2021: Another WS classic crap of an episode. The ending was funny, and that was about it. I could not laugh anywhere else during the episode. F

Mission Hill: Funniest episode yet! GOD I wish I had recorded it! Especially since I am a pitiful Star Wars maniac who is going to Comic-Con every year like these guys! A

Matt is right. Television now officially sucks. This factor was finalized when Cartoon Network's age-old "Jim Carrey Network" joke from a decade ago became a reality.

    These are my reviews:

Home Movies (Brendon Gets Rabies): Great ep. Missed some of it, though I saw it before. Who couldn't love the doctor and his defintion of "Putting the Cat to Sleep" as to "Making Cotton Candy". GRADE: A-

Home Movies (Yoko): Eh, not so good. The only reason it gets a C rating is because of the Coach McGuirke/Pee Breath subplot. GRADE: C-

Baby Blues: Good one. The first one to be seen on the WB, and one of the only ones I saw on the channel. GRADE: B+

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: This one ain't as good as the rest, but, it is the pilot, but shown way, way too many times. GRADE: C+

Sealab 2021: OK. This one is a bit surreal and I think it uses the most recylcled animation. GRADE: Solid B

Mission Hill: I thought the original reason Kevin liked the girl was becuase she was into Sci-fi, but I guess I was wrong. I like the "knife-in-the-head" plot, though. Very humorous. GRADE: B+

    Overall, tonight was a: B-...

Mission Hill-Kevin is really starting to piss me off.Doesn't he see that that girl was older than him, slept with Andy (GO ANDY!),and is WAY out of his league yet he persists.Overall awesome episode. The Star Wars stuff was awesome, the knife plot was ****in hillarious, the geek jokes were beyond funny, and the video game stuff hit home (I got this ******* friend who screams at you like in Tenchu "PULL OUT YOUR SWORD!").I nearly died when the guy jammed the coke in George's suit.If that had some fat guys in Sailor Suits, this'd be perfect but Kevin just annoyed the hell out of me.

Home Movies: Well, the Squiggle is better than those first couple of episodes, but other than that, I didn't care for these episodes. McGurk is still funny and all, but it's not as good as those episodes without the Squiggle (so far). Overall grade: B-

Baby Blues: "It's all been done before" Overall grade: F

ATHF: Ok episode. Overall grade: B

Sealab: A lot funnier than ATHF. "Ah, sweet mercury" Overall grade: A

Mission Hill: The stuff at the convention got annoying , but I got through it. Everything else was good. Overall grade: B

Really, really good night overall. The Home Movies Season 1 episodes shown were actually quite good.

HM(Rabies): Funny and clever, though some might find the mouse jokes in poor taste. The numerous documentaries were funny, and Jason's thing with the teeth was great. I think I've figured out my main gripe about Season 1, though, and it's not the Squigglevision: The characters are just too different. Paula has a completely different outfit and voice(Paula Poundstone)for the first episodes, and I'll never get used to that. Melissa's voice seems a lot higher, and she seems to be grossed out by something every 5 minutes. Brendan looks just plain horrible compared to his Season 2 counterpart; his character design is ugly and he sounds like he's high, unlike in Season 2, where his voice actor did a fantastic job.

HM(Yoko): I actually missed about half of this because I checked out a little bit of Crank Yankers(Which is funny, but nothing to watch over HM), but that was OK, because I'd seen this before. It's very strange to see Brendan starting high school-esque relationships in the third grade, I must say. My favorite parts? The pee scenes("Here's looking at you, kid." "PPPFFFFFT! WHAT IS THIS?!"), and Connie wrecking 47 takes because she kept screaming before she was supposed to.

Baby Blues(God Forbid): The first episode, and in my opinion a really good one. The beginning is a highlight("See, Jethro wanted to be an astronaut..."), there are numerous parts that cracked me up("Fat chance!"), and Darryl suddenly gaining superhuman strength upon learning that he might have to be the Bitterman kids' guardian is probably the funniest thing ever in the series. It makes me howl every time.

ATHF(Rabbot): I really don't like this one. Don't ask me why, it's just not that funny to me(Though it is the pilot and all). And is it just me, or is Frylock rather stupid in the first half?("To the house!")

Sealab: Fell asleep here. Which one was it?

Mission Hill: Watched it on a tape here. I still love this show, but this is probably my least favorite episode. Don't ask me why; it just is. It was nice to see Andy's on-off girlfriend and boss from the first episode again, though. The knife subplot was unnecessary and unrealistic(Let's face it; with a knife that deep in your head, you'd be dead no matter what.), but funny nonetheless.

One thing I'll say about Mission Hill. I was a big fan when I first saw it, but a lot of the humor is getting tired already. Yes, Kevin is a nerd. His friends are nerds too. We get the point. Picking on sci-fi/gamer geeks may be funny, but not in every episode.

I believe the word you are looking for is "redundancy".
yes, it does rely on the same jokes and situations over and over and over again, but it's still an okay show. maybe it just needs a new season to "freshen up", bring in some new characters, ideas, COLORS. a few road trips might help, and don't depend on endless pop-culture references for your laughs.

the nerd stereotype is funny for a while, but then it gets really annoying. the show would've had more staying power, in my opinion, if the brother had been a "cool nerd," a la the guys from penny arcade. man, that strip is funny.

other than that, the rest of AS was great.

Wasn't gonna bother this week but, well.. I suddenly feel like it.

Home Movies: I'd seen the second half of the Rabies one before but never the beginning or the Yoko ep. I know what it's like to lose a cat and if I'd been the one talking to that vet I would have strangled him. Cotton candy, pff. The funeral and the video were just so cute though ^^ The other ep.. well.. it had McGuirk in it. That's the only thing I liked aside from a few random lines. Really a dull ep to me, though. I spent it working on a jigsaw puzzle which amused me more.
    "It's the Brendan Small Jumpathon!"

Baby Blues: Another of the several I missed the first time around. Not bad, certainly, but it was really stretching at points. I won't mind watching it once more, but after that I'll change the channel.

ATHF: Never one of my favorites.. but it does show how much they've developed Frylock's character since then.

Sealab: I like this one just because of Stinky Pete. I actually met someone in my town that also uses the 'crap on a crap cracker' quote besides me. I was excited. ^^

Mission Hill: Pretty good ep, an improvement over last week's. Especially the knife-in-head thing. Which, by the way, IS possible. I saw some med show where some guy got a big knife in the back of his head (don't remember how) and he was fully conscious, drove himself to the hospital! He said it didn't hurt, but if they removed it he might die from internal bleeding.
    And I was SO waiting for Andy to get some! ^^;

Space Ghost: I'd seen the first one before so I took a bathroom break. I hadn't seen Sequel though. Hail Birdman. Yup.
    ~J-chan/Jei

    Junpei-Luv: Because I'm that insane.

Home Movies first ep.- My favorite episode that dosent have Coach mcguirk in it, and one of my all time favorite first season episodes, it has a lot of hillarious 1 time only characters, such as te Vet guy who "makes cotton candy"- 8.7

Home movies second ep.- not really one of my favorite, minus the camp season this episode really isn't that good.- 7.7

Baby Blues- actually one of my favorite episodes of Baby Blues, but.. thats not saying a lot, I think I laughed 4 times instead of 3, thats basically it- 7.7

Aqua Teen Hunger Force- funny episode, my favorite part is still the Dr. weird intro to this episode ("I thought that grant was to cure diseases and stuff") really a good episode, but not quite on par with some of the more recent episodes- 8.6

Sealab 2021- The only Sealab I've seen that actually makes sense, mostly because it happens in Dr. quinns brain and not the brain of another crew member, it probably would have been funnier if it was a symbolic trip into the world as veiwed by Stormy, but it's pretty good as it is, Quinn goes into things such as the uncertain future of Captain Murphy, and even the mystery of what goes on in the reactor room("Let' s play the hammer game), an all around good episode for what it is- 8.8

Mission Hil- nice episode, it had its moments , but he last few episodes I've seen were a little better, the humour get a little dry once in awhile, I like the whole knife thing though.- 8.7

Space Ghost coast 2 coast 1- "lawsuit", I haven't seen this one in a while, but it's still as funny as everthe references to old episodes as clients suing space ghost is great , I mean everyone remembers when Space Ghost blew up the Hoover Dam and Paris, just an all around great episode one of my favoritenon 7th season episodes.- 9.0

Space Ghost Coast to Coast 2- wow "Lawsuit" then "Sequel", I love this one just about as much as I love the last one, I mean Birdman was just great, and space ghost in prison, what's with that show his cellmate wanted to watch, just crazy, the Birdman Space ghost fight scene was just great too.- 9.0

man come on the only thing that got an A reveiw by me were the old space Ghost episodes, I just wasn't really impressed by this week, hopefully next week will be better

    Overall- 8.525
Just because you think your an idiot dosen't mean you can compare yourself to me. I rule the vortex you just watch.

I did; apparently, Tom Kenny had inadvertently found his "Spongebob" voice (for the Ewok actor) before the show was even created.

Tom Kenny does just about every extra on Mission Hill along with the smaller gay man.
