On the series finale of Soul Eater... With her friends fallen, Maka must find the strength to face the Kishin alone. The world is in jeopardy and evil is poised for certain victory - until something stirs deep inside the young Meister’s heart.
Last time on Soul Eater...
While everyone outside the barrier could only sit and wait anxiously, Black Star and Kid continued to battle Asura with almost no results. Determined to avenge his father and protect the world, Kid began a second Soul Resonance with Patty and Liz, but was stabbed by Asura and collapsed to the ground. Although he appeared to be dead, Kid's eyes suddenly filled with a blue light as the Lines of Sanzu, the white stripes in his hair, activated and his soul became extremely powerful as his Death Cannon powered up. While Asura was distracted by this, Black Star took advantage of the opening and knocked down Asura, allowing the empowered Kid to attack. However, Kid fainted and Asura shrunk down to normal. Meanwhile, Maka was locked in a room with "Soul," who was telling her to open a box containing his courage. Soul's voice came out from the box, claiming to be the real Soul who sealed himself to prevent the madness from reaching him. However, Maka, knowing her partner too well, was aware that the "Soul" with her was actually the Little Demon, who stated that he was a part of Soul now. Risking being devoured by the black blood while promising to save him, she decided to open a locked box and successfully saved Soul from darkness. Having lost control of the situation, the Little Demon shrunk in size, allowing Soul, who accepted the black blood as a part of him, to eat him in one gulp. The two of them then returned to the battle to find everyone else laying unconscious and Asura still undefeated.
Get ready for one of the lamest, most anti-climatic endings ever!
The fact that Soul Eater NOT! is becoming an anime before making a remake anime kinda squashes my expectations that one will ever get made at all. The manga has a better story, though it's still not all that great, and the ending is even more dumb that the anime's. It would certainly be fun to watch, though.
