This week on Samurai 7...
As Katsushiro and the villagers of Kanna prepare for the upcoming battle, Kambei and the others organize a means of reaching the capital.

Last time on Samurai 7...

Spoiler:

Kambei and the others left Firefly House to begin their war on the capital. As they prepared for their departure, it was revealed that Heihachi has never killed with a sword, but he has betrayed before. Hehachi told Kambei that he joined him to repent for his actions in the past. Elsewhere, Ukyo told two Nobuseri that he was pitting them against the farmers because he needed servants when he ruled the world, and the peasants were the best kind. He added that the bandits were not needed and the two bandits were incinerated. Meanwhile, Kambei and the others went Guardians' palace and Mizuki was reunited with her sister, Honoka. The Guardians told the samurai that they were not mad (about what happened at the capital) and were willing to help because they wanted to break free of the capital. They lent Kambei and the others an old vehicle from the war. Later, at night, Katsushiro was riding toward Kanna when he spotted one of Ukyo's men attempting to start a fire, whom he killed. In the village, Manzo and some other villagers were being bullied by more of Ukyo's men and were told that if the samurai returned, they would be reported to the capital. Just then Katsushiro arrived and killed Ukyo's men. Just as the leader was about to die, he told Katsushiro that they were planning to burn the village down and make an example out of it. He added that there were fire starters surrounding the village. Suddenly, more men surrounded Katsushiro. As he prepared to fight, the farmers gathered around on the roof tops with bows and arrows ready.

Reign: The Conqueror had one likeable character: The taco bell dog that spoke like Yoda.

In Samurai 7, it's Kikuchi. This guy does so much yet he gets treated like crap.

For instance, he's the only one NOT eating rice. The robot guy is a trendsetter.

Kinda touching considering what Kiku told Rikichi before the nobuseri attempted to attack Kanna village the first time around.

So, fighting wars with just swords was a thing when Kambei and co. were younger? Exactly how fast did this giant robot industrial revolution come about?

Reign: The Conqueror had one likeable character: The taco bell dog that spoke like Yoda. In Samurai 7, it's Kikuchi.

I don't remember any characters in Reign: The Conqueror. All I remember were the codpieces.

Frankly, I thought you and Katsu looked cuter together.

Jeez, now Komachi too! I've heard of being attracted to older men/women, but damn.

To be fair, there isn't a 30+ year gap between them. And heck, Komachi even said how gross it was in one of those clips in the beginning or end of the show where she talks about what happened last episode in her scroll journal.

And at any rate, the younger one of the parties is, the easier it is to get creeped out by age difference.

Oh no, I get it. Though it's nowhere near as bad as with some anime these days. It's not even anywhere near as bad as the whole...... *shudder* ugh, imouto trend.

That was a joke. It also indicated the falsehood of his family scroll (Kiku presenting a fake scroll was also in the movie).

He certainly doesn't sound 13, in any case.
