This week on Sym-Bionic Titan...
Octus and Kimmy drag Ilana and Lance to an annual school event in the woods known as a Scary Mary party.

Last time on Sym-Bionic Titan...

Modula unleashed a cute but deadly new alien upon the group and the trio decided to keep it as a pet. Ilana named it Mushy because it was mushy like a marshmallow and it enjoyed eating them. Lance named it Tarax, after a great Galalunian general. Octus named it "497" because it was the 497th creature he encountered on Earth. However, Octus later found out that it was a living bomb, and that it wasn't stable in Earth's atmosphere. It was getting more sick the longer it stayed on Earth, and at its death, it was to explode. It was generating enough energy to wipe out Earth, so the trio reluctantly let their beloved pet die peacefully in a glorious burst of energy. At an astronomy center, Octus located a nebula cluster where they let their pet go, which the scientist of the station allowed them to name for discovering it. In agreement, they came to name the cloud Tashy 497, as a mix of the names they wanted to name the creature.

I don't know if the folks working on Toonami care or not, but it's got to be a little frustrating knowing Caboosejr always beats them to the punch with uploading the latest stuff on saturday nights.

Ugh! 5 minutes in and I'm already reminded of both Amanda Todd's suicide and Rick from Degrassi.

Lance: "I can't believe this is actually happening."

Ya know what, Lance? Me neither. I mean, I know it's a fresh take on a popular girl liking a nerd. But... it just seems kind of sudden, even for me. Not that I hate it, it's just a little hard to believe they're an open couple after just one episode, ya know?

Sometimes it's just hard for me to tell when someone on the internet is sarcastic or not. I mean, come on. You never ran to that problem before? Ya know, based on the way some people word things?

Of course, I think it should've been obvious that I was being sarcastic when I said cloning should've been in the original Seven Samurai.

The reason it wasn't obvious to me was because up until that comment, I thought you were actually liking Samurai 7 week-to-week. It sounded a bit like a criticism towards the show underneath the sarcasm, not that I minded it.

Just because I'm mocking something doesn't necessarily mean I dislike it. I do like Samurai 7, and I think it's a reasonably good show on its own merits. But let's face it, for a show that's supposed to be based on a classic Kurosawa film, it can be pretty goofy.

Just because I'm mocking something doesn't necessarily mean I dislike it. I do like Samurai 7, and I think it's a reasonably good show on its own merits. But let's face it, for a show that's supposed to be based on a class Kurosawa film, it can be pretty goofy.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen Seven Samurai, not yet anyway. It's on my radar though and I think it's on that Hulu criterion collection thing? Anyway, whenever I hear mocking from certain critics that talk about what they watch, I'm so use to it being meant to criticize a show or point flaws in it, whether they hate it or not. So my brain just made that same assumption and thus I apologize for that.

Though that's neother here nor there. As for this show, I'm still surprised I never saw this episode before. Weird! Although I do like it. It's an interesting take on a robot having human emotions.
