This week on Samurai 7...
After defeating the Nobuseri’s ship, the samurai head back to the village and prepare for their next, even tougher battle with the bandits.

Last time on Samurai 7...

Ukyo was informed about all the going-ons, including that the Nobuseri were having a war in Kanna village. Meanwhile, the samurai continued with their trap to sneak into the enemy's ship. The farmers "surrendered" the samurai and offered their rice as a "peace offering", but the Nobuseri weren't convinced by this. They were about to kill them when Kirara offered her own life to save their lives. The samurai, on the enemy's ship, were able to save Kirara from being taken to the capital and they destroyed the ship. Though the ship was destroyed, the Nobuseri survived.

Heads up: Samurai 7 will be airing at 2AM beginning next Saturday.

Ah, so Katsu and Heihachi are killing virginity buddies.

The prodigal samurai returns.

Katsu's too much like a samurai otaku.

That moment of Katsu fawning over Kyuzo was incredibly gay.

Well, of course there's gotta be a storm. It's a big climactic battle after all.

Uh oh. Luke, we're gonna have company. Again.

Katsu's just at that age when a samurai has certain...urgings.

Here we go again...next week.

So we head to round 2. And Katsu has some issues he needs to work out.

I thought that this was a pretty good episode. After the amount of action from last week's episode and before getting into another battle, they needed a bit of a breather. I could understand why Kambei didn't seem happy at the idea of those kids wanting to be samurai, but he was still a bit too hard about it considering how young they were. Katsushiro was being way too strict with those guards and I liked seeing how Heihachi handled the situation differently. They were like two opposite ends of how to handle a war and for the guards, they need to be somewhere of the middle of being on their guard and being relaxed so that they aren't stressed every moment.

Katsushiro gushing over Kyuzo was kind of weird mainly because of how he did forget whose side he was originally and he also praised Kambei in a similar fashion. Kiku pushing him off after awhile was pretty funny. A storm before the next battle does add some more tension. Overall, it was a pretty good episode. It was a nice breather before jumping into another battle. I hope that the next episode will be fun to watch too.

I laughed when Katsu told Kyuzo that he thought he was awesome. Awkward.....

I like Heihachi. He knows how to just chill.
