This week on Samurai 7...
Ukyo is informed about all the going-ons including that the Nobuseri are having a war in Kanna village.

As the Nobuseri headed toward the village, the samurai and farmers made last preparations. Meanwhile, Kikuchiyo taught Rikichi how to use a sword. When the Nobuseri arrived, the villagers launched their weapons and attacked. As a result, they won their first battle. After, Kambei cut off Kikuchiyo's head. When the Nobuseri returned, the farmers "surrendered" the samurai and offered their rice as a "peace offering."

So they steal rice and run a bordello. Stay classy, bandits.

The best part is that this episode didn't even do that whole "let's have a flashback clip in the middle where the characters talk about the plan they were about to do" cliche like I see in a bunch of anime shows. It's actually a LOT more compelling not seeing that kind of scene for a change.

Awesome butt kicking episode,

The highlights:
Kirara is a great/sweet hot major heroine.
Both Shimada, Okamoto(he's a great love interest for Kirara), Kikuchiyo(he's hilarious and the Bender of the show), Katayama(he's creepy/entertaining), Kyuzou(a Sanji lookalike anti-hero, sweet), Hayashida(another cool fox-eyed character and he's a traitor hater), and Shichiroji are all such awesome heroic samurai characters next to Kenshin/Goemon/Mugen & Jin.
Ukyo is my next favorite awesome nasty anime villain after Vicious, Millions Knives/Legato, Sosuke Aizen/Barragan, and Izaya/Haruna.
Rikichi is so great/useful.
Nice setup plan from our heroes, of course it backfires.
The Nobuseri are such cool giant robot villains reminding me of Megatron/The Decepticons with sweet CGI designs.
Poor Okamoto Katsushiro/Katayama Gorobei/Kyuzou captured.
That sucky prick Manzo's just desserts is so satisfying for me as much as I hate him next to Axel/Holland/Talho/Maurice,Maeter,and Linck(Eureka 7), Light Yagami, and Tokine/Shigemori/Mamezo(Kekkaishi), I hope he dies a gruesome death.
Kirara standing up and protecting her village was very awesome of her.
Komachi/Kara are so adorable/great, but Kara's adult-like voice creeps me out.
The Nobuseri's abducted women plan.
Poor Okamoto an amateur, but cool of him fighting back and his craziness scares me, poor guy.
Hayashida going through those moving gears was so amazing!!!!!!
Kikuchiyo's head's helium voice, hahahahaha.
The seven samurais saving Kirara and kicking giant robot bandit butt, SUPER AWESOME!!!!!!
Kikuchiyo is so funny on wanting his opponent, hahahahahaha.
Shichiroji's cool cybernetic arm.
The seven samurais' epicness on destroying the Nobuseri.
Okamoto saving Kirara, sweet.
Kikuchiyo/Shichiroji's funny moment, hahahahahaha.
Uh-oh, some of the Nobuseri are still alive.

Wooooooow, Samurai 7 is so my favorite awesome series next to my Monster, Durarara!!, Higurashi No Naku Koro ni/Kai/Kira/Rei, Deadman Wonderland, and Casshern Sins and sweet that it's based on the cool Japanese movie, Seven Samurai.

Awesome episode. it looked like the plan was going to backfire, and Keiko gets his moments, which is always a plus to me.

Managed to finally catch an episode tonight. Finally, some awesome Samurai action.

But I am still distracted by the fact that samurai are fighting robots on a giant CGI flying craft. Some would say this would be awesome. Me... it's too much.
