Lyuze realizes Ringo is missing again, and is approached by Ohji, who says he has no idea where Ringo is either, they begin looking for her. Braiking Boss assembles an army in the robot graveyard, and they begin their march to Luna's castle. Leda wakes up in Luna's robot graveyard, and discovers that her ruin has rapidly advanced. She goes berserk and vows to kill Luna, but before she leaves she finds Ringo instead. Leda nearly strikes Ringo down, but thinks better of it, and when Lyuze arrives to protect Ringo Leda opts to leave. Dio, for his part, declares victory in his battle against Casshern after the two give each other offsetting, climactic blows.
Leda then shows up to murder Luna, but before she can begin Casshern intervenes, and tells Leda that Dio told him to save her. Leda, emotionally stung by that revelation, leaves with her wrecked body. Casshern tells Luna that they are different from anyone else, because they are immortal. They simply can't die, so they're not alive. Casshern vows to never take another life, and leaves with Lyuze, Ringo, and Ohji, eternally refusing Luna's offer to rule with her as a king. Leda, for her part, finally finds Dio, to find he has succumbed, at last, to the Ruin. She cuddles up to him and falls asleep, presumably for good.
HOWEVER . . . Braiking Boss and his army soon arrive at Luna's Castle. And Braiking Boss is more than willing to be Casshern's replacement as the would-be king . . .
