This week on Samurai 7...
With the traitor discovered, the samurai are at odds over what should be done with him. Meanwhile, Katsushiro tries to come to terms with his feelings over the first life he has taken.

Last time on Samurai 7...

The samurai arrived at Kanna Village, but found that many of the inhabitants were missing. While Kambei met with the village elder, Kikuchiyo discovered that the women of the village went into hiding along with the rice. He revealed this to the other samurai and they began the work of preparing the village for the coming battle with the Nobuseri. But a traitor, Manzo, told a Nobuseri envoy about the village's plans because the samurai were going to destroy the town's bridge, isolating his family from the rest of the village. Katsushiro, Kirara, and Shino (Manzo's daugher) witnessed this and Katsushiro had to kill the envoy, killing someone for the first time.
