This week on Samurai 7...
Since the Great War ended, samurai struggle to find new ways to survive. For one battle-scarred man, that means entertainment, exploiting his skills for daily bread. He may be exactly what the farmers need.

Last time on Samurai 7...

Katsushiro asked Kambei to take him in as his pupil, but he was told to find someone else. Kirara asked Kambei to protect them from the Nobuseri, but he declined saying that he has lost every battle he has encountered and that he would only lose again. Katsushiro offered to protect them instead. Kirara and the others continued searching for samurai willing to protect them, but they all turned down the offer, only eating the rice. After splitting up to search for more samurai, Kirara was kidnapped by Ukyo, the son of the Magistrate, for his harem. During their search, Rikichi and Komachi saw Kikuchiyo, the cyborg samurai, and recruited him. Katshushiro and Kikuchiyo went to rescue Kirara, and when she escaped, henchmen chased her to the end of a tunnel. There she saw Kambei walking by below, and decided to jump. Kambei rescued her, and Kirara told him that she jumped because she knew he would save her and that he's the one.
