C&C - Mongo Wrestling Alliance - "Nekro Nurses" [7/31]
The season(and maybe, series) finale airs tonight at 12:15 AM Eastern. No word yet if the show was picked up for a second season. Tune in and watch.

The show is apparently getting replaced next week. So it's hard to see this as anything but a one-and-done like Minoriteam. The weekly talkbacks tended to be barren and when they were posted in, containing mostly negative reviews. While it's not an absolute measuring stick, it does show MWA to not be popular around here.
I'll hold off on my final thoughts till after the show is over, but I will say that Tommy Blancha, a writer for the WWE during the Attitude Era, should have realized that basing his show off a satirical version of Hulk Hogan's Rock n' Wrestling, a terrible cartoon where no one wrestled (he mentioned being fascinated by the show in an interview) was not the smartest idea. When I think "wrestling cartoon" I think Kinnikuman/Ultimate Muscle since the guys, you know, wrestle. And they look awesomely ridiculous in doing so.
Edit- that was pretty much the standard Mongo formula. A lot of gross out jokes, a lot of innuendos, not a lot of laughs, and little wrestling, not to mention, it didn't feel like a season/series finale. No climactic title bout, no super awesome finishing move, nothing. Much like Minoriteam, Mongo will be remembered as a show with a good concept that didn't deliver the goods from any part of the show.
I suppose there's still Kinnikuman to show how animated wrestling should look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na7TH...e_gdata_player
