C&C - "The Room" [3/31]
Another year, another airing on Tommy Wiseau's "classic" The Room. The movie has become a cult favorite among people, mainly because its a movie that tries to take itself seriously, but fails hilariously. So for those who have not seen this before, tune in at 12:30 AM Eastern.

Having a party at my friend's house, and we're staying up to watch this.
I've seen it a few times already and so have a couple of people who are going, but our friends are in for a treat. We've shown a couple of pieces to the friend who is throwing the party, but everyone else won't know what hit them.
Oh hi, fun.

Rather than be a jerk and rant about the lack of creativity on the part of Adult Swim's April Fools gag, I will instead, link this.

Buy it and play it when The Room start. I can guarantee it will make the experience even funnier.

Oh hai guyz, we are watching copyrighted material.
-
I was expecting a reenactment with puppets Wulin Warriors style or kids reciting lines. Instead we get the movie and nothing else.
Cmon, Adult Swim. You use to be better than this. Do something.
-
Not gonna lie I'm pretty sure they went overboard with the censoring there and my friend and I found it pretty f-ing hysterical. I laughed out loud, for reals. /frat boy speak

I was watching the sex scene and there were these black squares moving around the screen. One of them grew so big it blotted out the entire picture. I am so glad that wasn't just me.
"DO NOT DUPLICATE THIS COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!"
Who would want to?
Didn't they run this movie as last year's April Fools stunt?

This is the third year that AS has been airing it.
I have never seen the uncut version, but is there nudity in it?
-
Ran it last year and the year before.
Now I see they are slowing the dialogue during bumpers. It's a good thing they never did that for Saved by the Bell or this would be a very lazy effort.

You can see Lisa topless in some of the sex scenes and well, Tommy's butt.

I refer you to this post for my commentary on that scene.
"You wanna order a pizza?"
"Whatever, I don't care."
"I already ordered a pizza."
THEN WHY DID YOU ASK HIM?!
For someone who doesn't love her boyfriend, she sure seems to enjoy his company.
That's the third sex scene in the last half hour. To some this will become the textbook definition of "too much of a good thing."

I love the random R&B songs during the sex scenes.

Those are some weird pizza toppings btw. Also, if they wanted to be truly hilarious they would have censored black over the whole movie

Ah yes, the cancer that's never brought up again.

I actually own the soundtrack. xD The R&B songs definately grew on me, while the score is actually some pretty good music a bit too epic for this movie. For anyone who cares I got the Nostalgia Critic to sign said soundtrack as well as defacing this poster:

Hey, remember when Adult Swim drew fake mustaches on the screen for April Fool's Day?
Or when they dubbed fart noises over Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell?
Or when they ran their Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie in a small box in the corner of the screen?
Everyone uses the house to have sex in. This is like Billy Wilder's The Apartment. Only less competent.
How paranoid is Tommy Wiseau to keep flashing those copyright notices at the bottom of the screen?
"I need some money."
"What kind of money?"
"I NEED SOME MONEY!"
"WHAT KIND OF MONEY?"
Canadian dollars? Rubles? Kroner? Brass farthings? Does he use a barter system? WHAT KIND OF MONEY DAMMIT!!!
"I did not hit her! It's not true! ...oh hi Mark."
This is the worst movie I've seen on Cartoon Network since Re-Animated.
