I think this flat out confirms it.

It's Fox Shows featuring the Adult Swim players. They should be doing everything in their power to rope in the Simpsons as opposed to greenlighting another dozen live action pilots that won't go anywhere at this rate.

There were religious based protests and coupled with the fact that the show did abysmally poor against Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (at its peak at this point) NBC decided to pull the plug rather than stick with it.

I'll say one thing. It may not be great scheduling but AS weeknights is now full of reruns that i'll actually watch: KotH, American Dad, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen, Metalocalypse.. I'm not missing Squidbillies in there whatsoever. Add in the fact that I believe Sealab is still on at 4 AM and that's really not a bad line-up, for reruns that is. Not very new and exciting, but was anybody really expecting that?

Did anybody stayed up to catch the "Animals" thing in the late hours? It was an odd thing that was like Liquid Television; a mixture of animated shorts and video editing. The final short was real amazing.
