C&C - Aqua Teen Hunger Force - "Last Last One Forever and Ever" [5/31]

    Like This Thread!
Well, we have reached the Season 7 finale of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. This season finale is special in many ways. First, this is the first live-action episode of the show, where H. Jon Benjamin plays Master Shake, R&B artist T-Pain plays Frylock and contest winner Dave Long Jr. plays Carl. Second, this was almost the series finale for the show until it was picked up for another season. Third, this episode almost didn't make it to the air due to issues of having an outsider being cast in the show. Well, let's see if their hard work paid off. It airs tonight at 11:45 PM Eastern.

I thought the Williams Street/AS shows as a whole were non union and couldn't be affected that third reason.

I was really excited for this until I saw the commercials. I was expecting the actual voice actors to be walking around in ridiculous-looking, cheaply-made cup/frybox/meatball costumes.

Instead we just have random guys in casual attire.

T-Pain is a massive fan of the show, so I get why he's on there. McGuirk....I will never get used to this.

    "The water's infected...with FIRE!"

    Frylock and Shake...with ARMS?!?!

    Wow, Shake sounds like...COACH MCGUIRK?!?!

Is that the voice of...DR. WEIRD?!?!

Is Meatwad actually...THREATENING SHA--oh, wait, he's done that before.

That Carl actor was pretty accurate.

This has series finale written all over it...or it would if it didn't get renewed.

I liked that Space Ghost episode.

    "Killing is a sin."

"Not in the eyes of the church."

    That made me laugh.

    This is...not funny.

I mean, this is kinda like Aqua Teen if written by Tim and Eric. Which means not funny. It's got about two minutes of actual ads, one joke, and the rest, ugh.

Is this more of that dada bullcrap they talk about?

    Someone fire DW, like...NOW.

Would of IF it wasn't called back for another season. But if it was "they truly were an Aqua Teen Hunger Force"

Haha, I think the Spongebob reference was basically saying, like that show, we will never be cancelled.

Don't know. But they were actually more entertaining than the episode itself

I wonder if T-Pain provided his own Auto-Tune or did WS had to get one for themselves.

    Mirroring my thoughts from ASMB;

Wow, that was crap. Meatwad stole the show, but the reimagining of the ATHF characters as Live-Action was terrible. The characters (besides Carl and Meatwad) didn't resemble their animated counterparts at all.

That, and Live-Action on [as] fails anyway.

The Point/counterpoint proves Dave Willis is what's wrong with Adult Swim. Admittedly Lazzo's mirroring of our thoughts was funny, and the LA Carl was an OK actor.

    The rest- Garbage. Just garbage.

You know, it's not fun being negative, especially in the case of Aqua Teen, a show I have fond memories of watching both by myself and with friends, and there's still only so many ways I can say "why is this horrible?" But still. It doesn't even remind me of Sealab's experimental period when Murphy was still alive and the writers tried to do everything possible with their limited budget. It's Tim and Eric logic. "Dur, we're not being funny, so we're ironic, and that's funny!" No, it's not.

Lazzo, do all us two favors. Fire Dave Willis, and give ATHF a mercy killing.
