    C&C - "The Room" [3/31]

    Like This Thread!
As part of this years April Fools Day, AS is going to be showing the movie, The Room, which came out in 2003. Being rated R, it is written, directed, produced and executive produced by Tommy Wiseau. The plot is a melodramatic love story of a triangle between a man, his fiancee and his best friend. With no studio backing, Wiseau spend $6 million on the film and recieved a limited theatrical run in Los Angeles. The film developed a cult following, due to its unintentional humor and being a laughably bad film.

Wiseau directed an episode of Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! for this past season, starring in it themselves. In fact, the episode airs after this movie ends. The movie airs tonight at midnight.

Unintentionally, this is probably funnier than Awful Show is intentionally. Then again, he directed an Awful Show episode.

/checks on-screen grid which doesn't reflect the schedule change

I could be watching "Porcelain Birds" and "Just Voodoo It" right now!

I agree with warnerbroman's prediction. I'm thinking about flipping it to the west coast feed of CN. At least King of The Hill was good.

This film is somehow assaulting all my senses. My eyes are offended by what I see. My ears are practically flooded with blood from what's being said. Taste and Smell are being killed by the vomit-induced by disorientation.

Hell, even my sense of touch is being attacked by the brain matter slowly eeking out of my slowly imploding head.

That was pretty damn awesome, as expected. And to think...the director spent $6 million on this from his own pocket. Wow.

I am astounded that the guys at Williams Street believe anyone who isn't too drunk or stoned to move will watch any of this drek of a movie for any more than a few minutes. Putting this on is proof positive that they produce and air only stuff that they believe is funny or humorous (or entertaining for that matter). They treat [as] as if it's their personal block to put whatever they want to, the viewers opinions be hanged. If they don't like a shows, it's gone. A new low for [as].
