At the risk of sounding stupid, I have to ask this: What happened to Bit? Was he killed? I do remember him getting his head chopped off or something to that effect, but he was only mentioned a couple of times by Gemberling in this episode.

It was kind of confusing. He appeared to Gemberling holding his severed head in his arm, but this was when he was still alive. Later, the CEO orders Byte to kill Bit and we see Byte grabbing hold of Bit's head, but we don't actually see her remove it.
