We get a sneak peak at Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I'm sure it'll sell well.

Same Top 3 as last week, and Bleach saw a nice increase.

Here's some middle of the year stats. Q1 = First week of Jan to last week of March, Q2 = First week of April to last week of June

    Sat 2005 Top 3 Average (Q2) - 474K
    Sat 2006 Top 3 Average (Q2) -294K
    Sat 2007 Top 3 Average (Q2) - 393K
    Sat 2008 Top 3 Average (Q2) - 318K

Not too bad for 2008, and up from the 290K in the first quarter. Also, the line-up during Q2 in 2006 was all-anime as well.

    Sun 2005 Top 3 Average (Q2) -885K
    Sun 2006 Top 3 Average (Q2) -772K
    Sun 2007 Top 3 Average (Q2) -907K
    Sun 2008 Top 3 Average (Q2) - 960K

Best Sunday Q2 yet, so that's good to see.

    Sat 2005 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 475K
    Sat 2006 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 308K
    Sat 2007 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 378K
    Sat 2008 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 304K

Ouch, lowest average so far for 2008.

    Sun 2005 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 770K
    Sun 2006 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 739K
    Sun 2007 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 858K
    Sun 2008 Top 3 Average (Q1+Q2) - 970K

    Just the opposite here.

Also, Bleach is leading Saturday's with 25 Top 3's so far and a 326K average, with Death Note (17) and Venture Bros. (11) behind it. Both shows have a sub-300K average though.

For Sunday, Family Guy dominates in Top 3's with 35 so far and a 1,071K average. Robot Chicken (20) and American Dad (10) are behind it.

For one final stat, all-anime lineup still is beating the comedy lead-in lineup. Thanks to some good numbers for June, the all-anime lineup Top 3 average right now is 319K 9 weeks in. The comedy lead-in lineup had an average of 301K after 12 weeks.

Bleach and Family Guy continue to bring home the bacon, while Code Geass and Venture Brothers need a stern talking to.

With Death Note over this week, the only question now is...will people care about ANYTHING besides Bleach?

I'm sure Venture Bros. is doing fine. It's made the top 3 twice and we know that a Season 4 is coming soon. It's secure.

They will within a few years as they get into the 18-24/34 demo.

I can't beleive that every FG ep got beaten by a Suite Life ep at 2:30PM

    Week of 6/30-7/6:

    Household Viewers: 909,000(#6 for cable)

Total Day Viewers: 1,081,000(#6 for cable)

    - Family Guy: 2,387,000(#19 for cable)

    18-34: 409,000(#1 for cable)

    - Family Guy: 1,096,000 18-34(#5 for cable)

-Family Guy: 1,041,000 18-34(#6 for cable)

    - Robot Chicken: 955,000 18-34(#9 for cable)

    - Family Guy: 932,000 18-34(#10 for cable)

    18-49: 539,000(#4 for cable)

25-54: Did not chart this week

AS was down again this week, probably due to the holiday weekend. In fact, CN went ahead of AS with the Household Viewers, which doesn't happen that often. Also, for the first time in a while, AS didn't chart with the 25-54 age group.

    Here are the kid ratings:

    2-11: 212,000
    6-11: 149,000
    9-14: 195,000

On the flipside, the kids ratings went up.

Adult Swim Anime Lines of the Night 7/5/08: The Death Note Finale Edition!

It's a week late due to me being on vacation, but it's here now. I'll try watch tonight's Saturday tomorrow and have the lines for it then. In the meantime, this is Week 10 of All Anime Saturday, complete with the series finale of Death Note!

    Inuyasha (11:00)
Kagome: Hey, how did the exorcism go?
Miroku: Uneventful. Now I’m ready for some relaxation.
Inuyasha: Hold up there, Miroku. There’s something I haven’t been able to figure out about your powers.
    Miroku: Yes?
Inuyasha: Whenever we’re looking for a place to bed down, you suddenly detect an ominous cloud hanging over whatever seems to be the finest tavern in the area. How is that?
Miroku: Oh, you noticed that, did you? They say a falsehood is sometimes the expedient path.
    Inuyasha: Huh?
Shippo: You mean there never was any ominous cloud?
Kagome: What, you’re just figuring that out now? *sip*

    Inuyasha (11:30)
Kagome: I need you to take this medicine. Think you can sit up?
Miroku: No, I’m too weak. Pass it through your mouth.
    Kagome: Good idea.
    Shippo: Uh?
    Miroku: ??
    Shippo: *puckering up* Mmmfff…
Miroku: I think I can manage on my own.
Kagome: Miroku has enough energy to joke around, so I know he’s okay for the time being. But he might be in serious danger if Inuyasha’s battle drags on much longer.

    Bleach
Renji: Damn it! Looks like he got away.
Kurodo: Yeah, well you got off easy this time, but you better think twice before you try it—huh, what’s the matter Noba?
    Noba: You didn’t do anything.
    Kurodo: Huuuuuhhhhh?!!

    Death Note
Light: MATSUDA YOU IDIOT! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE SHOOTING AT! DON’T SCREW WITH ME!!
Matsuda: What was it all for then? What about your dad? What the hell did he die for?!
Light: My dad? You mean Soichiro Yagami? That’s right, Matsuda! In this world, all those earnest people like him who fight for justice, they always lose! You want a world where people like Dad are made to be fools?! I know you understand so kill the others! SHOOT THEM!!
Matsuda: You led your own father to his death, and now he’s gone, you call him a fool?!
    *blood dripping*
    Aizawa: His blood!
    Matsuda: AAAHHHHH!
    BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! SPLASH!
Matsuda: I’ll kill him! I’ll kill him! HE HAS TO DIE!
    Aizawa: Matsuda!
    BANG! (misses)
Light: Damn you! What the hell is this?! Mikami! What are you waiting for?! Write down their names!! WRITE 'EM DOWN! KILL THEM NOW!!
Aizawa: It’s finally over, isn’t Near?
    Near(aka Nate River): Yes.
Light: Where are you, Misa?! Where’s Takada?! Someone… What do I do now?
*Mikami stabs himself with his own sword (that is, his pen)*

    Code Geass
Tamaki: I’m hating this retreat thing. Ohgi: We thrashed ‘em, but if we kept pushing...
Tamaki: Face it. We left the JLF as bait while we ran away.
Kallen: I hate it when you say it like that
Ohgi: Yeah, but people aren’t just pieces in a chess game. Zero wouldn’t think like that. If he did, he’d end up using us like pawns too. I don’t believe he’d do that. His rage is real. He hates Britannia as much as we do. And I think a person who knows rage also knows sorrow.

    Shin Chan
Narrator: On the next Shin Chan: The High School Years, actually I haven’t read the script yet but based on the music and this shot here, I’m guessing Shin is trapped in a video game or something. Hm, looks like they haven’t finished drawing it. Will the animators finish it in time for the next episode?! Oh who cares?

They got to Adult Swim. Adult Swim may not care about them, but it's not like a lot of teens watch general CN. Toonami was supposed to be for teens for a while, but that fell through, and now it's a lot kiddier than it was supposed to be after the 2004 revamp. CN doesn't have a block made specificially for teens. They don't think teens are profitable, because they're too fickle.
