I happened to like this. Funimation i think did i good job although you could tell some of the edits... ANYWAY i found it very amusing and the dub i though was good. This is one of the few animes that i have gotten into without watching more than one episode so i cant wait to watch more.

I don't normally review things, but I figure I would for the premiere night of ASS(Adult Swim Saturday)

Yu Yu Hashuko: Funimation really suprised me with this show, and in the good way They left in the original(albeit translated version of the) opening song, and also the bumper(the thing that came up before the commercial) The next plus came in the fact that Funi actually allowed some language in this show including ass(which we already knew about from the commercial), hell, damn, and I think I may be missing one. Next, the show was just good! I felt a little sad myself at Yusuke's funeral scene just from the reactions of the characters whom I've just meet, which say something good about the show. Finally it left me wanting more, I can't wait to find out what happens next week to Yusuke. Holding off until the box set release of this shows DVD will be though for me, but I think it will be well worth the wait. A+

YYH was very good, Funi did a very great job! (although i think the dub is semi-average, good none-the-less). the only edit i know off is when yusuke lifts up keiko's skirt (which wasnt shown) and probably on episode 2, yusuke (in kuwabara) touches keiko's boobs to tell her that its he's still alive, that would of definatly be edited.

now to wait for pilot candidate...

After seeing this episode, I'm not so sure as to what category this fits under (drama, comedy, action, or all of the above?). It seems to start off slow taking the time to establish each character, which isn't a bad thing. I was expecting a little bit more from the pilot to establish the genre.

However, if this was a way to entice viewers to watch the episode and find out, then it did the job. This whole "dead person gets a second chance at life" plot has been done before, but this is anime so they should be able to deliver a fresh storyline (and some more interesting characters).

Well, I've now seen the Yu Yu Hakusho dub, and this is what I have to say on it.

Voices: I would say that Yusuke's voice is rather good, better then what I thought it would be. Kuwabara voice is going to take alot of getting used to, it's going to sound rather weird when he first shows up. Botan sounds like I thought she would sound, so I say it's a pretty good voice. Overall, better then what I expected from FUNI, I'd give this a 7/10.

Music: Right out of the Japanese version, they also translated the opening and closing. 10/10

Script/Edits: Rather close to the original, they cut out most of the scene were Yusuke tryed to look up Keiko's dress though (Boy was he slapped for that ). 8/10

Overall, I must say, it looks like FUNI is going to do this right from the start. I hope that they give Hiei a good voice. 8/10

nothing was right. PC is TV-Y7. Not only that, but it sucks. It sucks REALLY bad.

I thought the animation was beautiful in a colorful way. The mechas looked like action figures and the dub was way off at times. I really dont understand this anime it was OK i'll keep watching though.

YYH was fun, I like the main character (I forgot his name) because he's really stubborn....like me. The emotional parts were a little akward.

Pilot Candidate...Um...Pilot episode was..I dunno. That episode was borig, but hey, aren't most pilots? The only reasons I'm still gonna watch it is that little Clay dude. My Friend looks, acts, and sounds JUST like him. Oh, and did I mention his name is 'Clay'?

Gundam Whats-it's-name: Hmm...it seems to be like any other Gundam series. Me, I'd get rid of this and put in somethin else. But it's only been on for a few minutes....

I've seen DVD volume 1 of PC, and believe me, it doesn't get ANY better. As for Gundam, I agree, UC Gundam is kinda repetetive. I'd put Patlabor in its place. Truly original mecca show.

At first i saw the animation very serious and semi-outdated. Now i can see it adds more of an action appeal to it making it more "adult" which some people have been wanting. It seems good so far and i thought that butch girl was funny i'll continue watching as i am i gundam fan.

I've seen 0083, it's not worth watching again for me like Cowboy Bebop was. The first hour is all I'm gonna watch until some new material comes in.

The talking during PC was off at quite a few points. The pilot didn't make much sense at all to me. I can only hope it gets better....

Yeah, its strange.

Also, I noticed that they could take that exact version of Gundam 0083, slap a TV-Y7 rating on it, and put it on Toonami.

Outlaw Star: A(seen the ep already, but bonus for showing original opening, here's to hoping we get to see the "I'm A Pioneer" Tenchi opening with subs, and the Tenchi Universe opening which is dubbed, but still good)

Yu Yu Hashako: Not bad. I think I've become a fan of Botan right away.

I only watched CB a few times so now I'm glad I can catch it on a Saturday night.

Pilot Candidates had a nice look to it. The mecha did look weird but in an appealing way. And I always love the mysterious characters. This show already has plenty of them. I'll let the Y7 rating slide because of the intrigue.

Gundam 0083: Come on!!! It's Gundam. What would you rather see, people? DBZ?!! Damn! . . . . bunch of feddies. Just kidding

I don't want to bother going through Tenchi and Outlaw Star.
