Bryan Fuller wants to take "Screw-on Head" to Adult Swim

    Like This Thread!
Comic Book Resources had a nice interview with Bryan Fuller, who "created" The Amazing Screw-on Head animated pilot for Scifi Channel. Despite the massive feedback it got from the online and on-air showings of the pilot, which I enjoyed , he says only one of the executives at Scifi got the show, and is hoping the pass will come sooner so he can "take it to Adult Swim."

I like Bryan Fuller, due to his work on Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls, plus he's now working on Heroes. I didn't see Screw on Head, but if he's involved in it, I'm sure it's great.

Eh, I can't really see AS really refusing this. Hell, if they're giving The Smoking Gun a trial run, I don't see why they can't air the pilot to Screw-on-head.

I could, considering how much it would cost.

It would be a fantastic pairing with Venture Brothers. In fact I've had it saved on my DVR since I first watched it and my plan was to add it to the end of my S2 homemade DVD... but for some reason now that I try to bring it up my DVR says it's unavailable... I've never had that happen before. I really wanted to record a copy of that in case it never got shown again but I may be screwed. Fun show, but yeah, it could be expensive. Maybe if they recast it with out the big name stars ($$$)... although Giamatti and Pierce were great.

Still, if AS could get this what AS could do, (along with Boondocks and Venture Bros.) is just about gaurantee one fresh, original half hour show airing all year (minus weeks for rerun catch ups). A great way break up their dependence on Fox reruns and the 12 minute shows.

I was actually thinking the same thing the other day - it would compliment the Venture Brothers really well. If it came to pass that AS picked up Screw-on head, it'd be genius to set it up so one aired while the other was on the off season, thus keeping the same eyes occupied during the break.

Of course this is assuming AS even wants to renew VB, or would even concider picking up Screw-on head.

How much did Screw on Head cost? It seemed pretty expensive, but I think it seemed comparable to Venture Brothers.

Didn't they bring back Venture Brothers for a second season, only from fear of riots? It is pretty pricey, compared to the rest of their lineup.
