What shows should Williams Street aquire for AS?

    Like This Thread!
    For the Action Block -
Now and There, Here and Then
A newer anime that is being released by Central Park Media and one of my personal favorites. A story about a holy war fought in the future with children soilders. Williams Street may shy away from this one due to some scenes of insanley intense torture scenes. Still hopefully WS will look into this amazing show.

    Trigun
Another personal favorite of mine that Toonami almost got there censoring hands on but dropped it at the last second because of all the hooplah about guns and children. Now that the stage is set for unedited (or close to) anime on TV, now its the best time to give Trigun a home on AS.

    For The Original Block
    Family Guy
A funny as hell show that should be in syndication already and doesnt get the respect it deserves on FOX, AS should pick up the first few seasons of FG.
    Its the final countdown.

Family Guy unfortunately costs $2 million per episode, which is four times the amount of Cartoon Network's costliest Cartoon Cartoon.

With a budget of $50,000 for Adult Swim, it just ain't happening.

Family Guy won't go into Syndication till about the 4th or 5th season (Are they up to about 3 now?)

If anything, add Clerks (The show is dead in ABC's eyes) and probaly bring back Cartoon Planet( I know a bit about that whole "they lost the rights to there own music thing" but still)

    For the Action Block:

    Trigun
I agree that this would fit very well with AS. I doubt it needs any serious editing besides any instances when a character says "****"

    Key: The Meta Idol
I haven't seen it, but I'd like to and Adult Swim would help me get the chance to see it. FOR FREE.

    Spawn
I still say get Spawn on there. I'm pretty sure it'd only need anime-type editing. How 'bout that? An American show that'd need serious editing. 'Tis to laugh.

    For the Comedy Block

    Clerks
This show was just wrong for ABC. Adult Swim would be it's perfect home.

    Family Guy
FOX doesn't give it respect. CN would. Though I'm sure they'd be over-cautious and slap a TV-MA rating on it.

    and for some...

PURE FANTASYthings that will most likely never happen
    Johnny The Homicidal Maniac
After his failed attempt at keeping a show with Nick, Jhonen oughta make a deal with CN and get an animated version of his comic on Adult Swim

    Batman Beyond
I bet this show could be even better if it didn't have TV-Y7 limitations. Besides the US is in need of a good mature action toon. Don't let Japan steal all the glory!

    Samurai Jack
    Same as above.

Good choice, its one of my faves :P But considering the fact that Adult Swim can't show the rather tame Hot Springs episode, I doubt a show with real nudity(not eva or tenchi style where they're barbie dolls) in almost every single episode would ever air

I'm not giving my list for the millionth time, so all I'll say is with all the talk about Trigun, may as well add me to the list
The Lone Gunmen. Harsh Realm. John Doe. Firefly. Boston Public. Wonderfalls. And now MadTV. FOX must DIE!!!!!!

If CN were to air SPAWN about 3 episodes would go the way of teh lost episode of Outlaw star cause of the Nudity.

I mean it would kinda re enforce the "Over 18" disclaimer they show, and acctually make it MEAN something. But I doubt it'll happen

On the Clerks: TAS DVD Kevin Smith mentions that UPN offered a 13 episode deal compared to ABC's 6 episode plan. Its a shame he didnt opt for UPN, even though if I were in his shoes I would have also steered clear of the pilot graveyard that is UPN.

I'd like to see Trigun on AS. After watching the series a couple of times, there were only a few reasons why it wouldn't be considered. Also Spawn, and Clerks I would like to see in the line-up

    AS Action
-Evangelion (yes, I know, but there is less editing now)
-Noir (heard it is good, but the problem is that it is not out in this country yet. But I can wait.....)
-Ranma 1/2 (I am not too sure whether to call this action or comedy, but it does deserve time on TV. I know, there is a lot of nudity, but it could still work if they let it)

    AS
-Jhonen Vasquez's next series (because we know Zim isn't coming back if Nick has something to do with it)
-Excel Saga (because it is, that is all. this show needs no explanation)
StrangerAtaru: Just another one of those weirdo lurker guys with a screwed up mind and a Zako army at his command

Trigun is a definite contender for a spot on the AS Action Line-up. I personally love the show and Pioneer has wanted to get Trigun on the air ever since they offered Tenchi to Cartoon Network.

I have no idea why some people despise Family Guy so much, it may not have the writing of the Simpsons but it is one of the funniest shows on television. I personally love the show.

Bringing back Cartoon Planet for Adult Swim is kind of ridiculous.

Not to mention that any given episode of Family Guy is 10,000 times better than anything we have seen on the past two years of the Simpsons.
