The official name of the block is now "Adult Swim Action".

But it may as well be called "Frumpy Dumpo Skooty Doots", because Adult Swim: The Fansite is not covering it yet. We only cover adult blocks here. This isn't MTV Swim: The Fansite.

When the state of the lineup is different from the state expressed in Matt(of Toonami.com)'s letter, we'll cover the shows.

If you'd like to support my little campaign to find out the truth and perhaps convince Williams Street to either:

a) Run the shows off of the DVD
b) Pay to have them re-editted
c) Put them back on Toonami

Then feel free to do so, in whatever way you know. In a week, I'll move the letter to its own URL so I can get back to working on the site, and if you feel like it, you can link to the letter.

And if ANYONE from Williams Street is reading the site or this thread, PLEASE let me know what's going on. Please tell me that Matt from Toonami.com was incorrect. Please tell me that you WILL respect the shows and the adults that watch it.

This is a real let down after a long anticipated new night of programming. I hope that this is incorrect. I like anime, but this might as well be called Adult Swim Action Previously Known as Toonami Midnight Run.

Adult Swim action, eh? If you ask me they should call it the mondo flashy fighting block, after all their main focus is people under 10 years old with most of the shows on the block

I would say this is a step back.

If you're not ready to launch an action block for Adult Swim, then don't launch an action block for Adult Swim!!! It's that simple!!

Its not taking baby steps forwards, its taking giant steps backwards. Now, Adult Swim is a block that for the most part targets teenagers. In a little over a month, over half the block will target 7 year old children. Thats not taking any step forward, its negating all forward process and then some. You're not gonna see Spriggan on TV because the insanely tame Hot Springs episode with its 20 seconds of questionable footage is to offensive to air on TV.

And I don't exactly get how showing Outlaw Star uncut except for editing out the word '****' would cost such a ridiculous amount of money.

seriously, is there anyway we can ask them why they are doing this? god im starting to hate them.... the only good thing i could see comming from this is if they get new anime it may be edited to adult swim standards.... we need to have another one of those toonami chats.......

hmm. It's kinda stupid that the block will start at 11 and goto 2am. It's rated Y7 for christ sake, you could air it at 9, and let us all get some sleep. Except for Cowoboy Bebop (which culd be aired last at 11:30 or so) itll just be toonami extended.
