the race wars had begun
In February, the week of the 23rd, two major things happen.
One is, the Thursday night of Adult Swim will go bye-bye. And Cowboy Bebop will leave the Sunday block as well.
However, it will be replaced by a new Saturday Night block, which is entirely action-oriented.
As I predicted earlier, it seems Adult Swim will be divided into action and comedy, with action toons on Saturday night and comedy toons on Sunday night.
What will be on Saturday night?
Yu-Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam 0083, and Pilot Candidate, followed by Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo.
Will Cowboy Bebop be more editted now? Nope.
Will the other shows be less editted now? Perhaps, and it's quite likely, but only if Williams Street is willing to go back into old animes and "un"-edit them.
Pilot Candidate and Gundam 0083, however, should enjoy far less editting than previously expected. I say should because anything is tentative to change. We don't know if this block will end up carrying a Toonami insignia, an Adult Swim insignia, or carry an entirely new name.
Yu-Yu Hakusho might still be hacked up like DBZ, because FUNimation is doing the editting themselves, and you know how THEY are.
Sunday night lineup has slightly changed to be more comedic in nature. Sheep in the Big City(the best Cartoon Cartoon in ages, IMO) will precede Adult Swim at 9:30, and Rocky and Bullwinkle and The Popeye Show will temporarily replace Cowboy Bebop in the midnight hour, until Mission Hill and The Oblongs move in.

FUNimation does better than Williams Street most of the time when it comes to footage. FUNimation leaves in all dry blood and words relating to death while Williams Street nixes it. The only thing they hack up is the dialogue.
This is horrible the original adult swim (america) kicked booty why do they have to kill it?? Bebop is a sweetass show and now they are going to move it to a new time and day that just sucks majorly. first they change homemovies and took out one of its slots put in baby blues which is ok. then takes both my other two shows that totally sux.

Glad to hear this! Now, I can get to sleep on Sunday nights at a decent hour.I probably won't even bother with the Sunday lineup now, but the Saturday shows sound awesome. Here's hoping they use the DVD unedited content for Outlaw Star and Tenchi (no more damn TEA!

In what way are they killing it? They're expanding. They can't keep on showing 2 home movies back to back forever, as much as you'd like it to be that way. This isn't YOUR Swim, this is Adult Swim. EVERYONE deserves to have something to like on the block, not just a small group of people. Maybe you don't like some shows, but don't think you represent the majority. Never think that.This is horrible the original adult swim (america) kicked booty why do they have to kill it??
