Re: Post your reviews of: Home Movies - "Identifying a Body"
This is one of the weakest eps of Home Movies yet. Though it had one or two strong points... (the boss getting hit by tons of stuff and brandon having his mom shake his foot). Besides that, it was pretty boring.
O yeah and the sausage thing was funny. As I type this I'm watching Baby Blues and I am yet to be impressed by that ep.

For some odd reason... as much as I loved "Politics," and as much of a Home Movies fan that I am, this one sort of disappointed me. It wasn't as funny for me as other Home Movies episodes usually are. And for once, I actually spotted an actual bad joke(Brendon and McGuirk yelling "Road trip!"). There were some extremely funny moments, but otherwise, it is probably the worst HM episode I've ever seen. Grade: C

Mr. Lindonden is a god.
Another hilarious episode, Sausage thing, Mr. Lindonsen's antics, and Mr. Lynch's bizarre obbsession.
I laughed through the whole thing, I loved it.

Ick. I'll spare the formalities.
D rating. I'm being generous because it looked good next to those 'Oxygen' commercials. Damn Oprah-led feminists. No, you aren't invincible. There are only 2 people who can call themselves invincible. 1. The black knight, and 2. Mario, after grabbing a starman.

This episode has its moments like the sausage bit and the scenes at the movies. I liked the politics one more, but I wouldn't say this was a terrible episode. C+.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I liked it all, the whole thing. It was funny and kept me glued, not to mention this episode made me kind of think. And that boss guy is so funny, I don't wana start.. I give it a B+ because nothing is perfect and Politics was better but it's still up their in the list of my fav eps. so far.

I didn't really laugh at that boss guy except for two times (the part with the accident and the fact that he reminded me of Woody Allen). I was torn between giving it a C+ or B- and I still am. I think I gave it the C because I liked last weeks episode more.

I actually liked this one better than politics. again mcguirk steals the show. but jason as a rabbi? that killed me.
good episode: Grade B

This was better than last week's ep. I loved seeing McGuirk and Brendon on a road trip. Some stuff I didn't like: the labored scene where Paula's boss kept getting hurt. Also, what the hell happened with Lynch ("Who do we hate? Fifth-graders!")? I'd expect that kind of stuff from McGuirk, but not him, though I loved his little riff at the end when he was trying to contact Brendon for missing the Walkathon.
Grade: B+
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

Lynch is still Lynch.. like when he tries to describe homeless people.
"Uh, well, the homeless are.. the homeless... homeless being an adjective.. the adjective meaning.. them.........right..."
-
Suffers--
--a lack of coherency; feels more like random things thrown at us.
McGirk is the dad that Brandon never had--or especially wanted. It seems a bit contrived that Brandon goes with him to identify the body...and I though he'd know better than to let the guy manipulate him and eat up all his Walkathon money.
Paula's boss Lindonsen with the "weird energy" was very reminiscent of Jerry Lewis--esp. with the haphazard physical comedy sequence. "Do you like Italian?...Good, because I couldn't finish this at lunch...Actually, it isn't even mine. I think it's hospital food."
Jason imitating Father Guido Sarducci was pretty funny.
What kind of inheritance is a sausage? I expected McGirk to break down bawling upon tasting it, mourning his late Uncle Pedro.
What was up with the two hugging kids? Rather disturbing. And why did one look like Kermit the Frog?

Walter and Perry.....
They're in practically every episode. They don't speak in many episodes though, except in The Art of the Sucker Punch and this episode.

This was to me the worst epi of HM. I laughed at the sausage part but other than that. It reminded me of watching a new episode of the Simpsons, jokes that fall so flat that you cringe. Anyways I'm sure it was just one bad episode.

Well.... it was different.
Well, after loving "Politics" I have to say this one kind of fell flat. I really enjoyed the bonding-type scenese between Brendon and McGuirk, especially when they were looking at the stars (I think Brendon and McGuirk understand each other more than either would care to admit). I think Lynch's obsession with beating the fifth graders, and the classes' response, was hilarious, as was the whole sausage thing. What I didn't like was the gross underusage of Jason (It was well over halfway into the episode when he made his singular appearance), and the whole subplot with Paula and her boss. One of my fave parts of Season one was how, unlike the newer Simpsons episodes, the writers at Soup2Nuts didn't feel the need to add cumbersome, tacked on subplots like every other sitcom. After two fairly boring Paula-related subplots, I'm kinda starting to worry about that. Don't get me wrong, I love Paula's character, but I'm dissapointed by the boring, forced events they've been putting her in. I'm still waiting for Erik and Dwayne to appear as well, thoug I'm sure they'll pop up sooner or later. Still though, it was solid enough overall, definitely worth watching. I'd say B-

Exactly, I don't wanna get out of topic but this Simpsons is crap now. I really hate it when mags like Tv guide,Ew and the like praise the simpsons as being great. Its not, it's my favorite show but should have called it quits years ago. End of rant.

My complaint of The Simpsons has always been the same: I love their spoof (in fact, I love spoofs in general), but sometimes their stories suck (Skinner's name isn't really Skinner, the last two episodes with Sideshow Bob, the one where Homer is the sanitation guy, and the one with "Grimy" all sucked because of the story lines).
But since this is about Home Movies, I will talk about that. The more I thought about it, the more I liked this episode. I gave it a C+ earlier and I am changing it to a middle B grade.

Pretty Bad
I don't have any strong feelings for or against Home Movies, but this episode was pretty bad. I can handle bad animation as long as the show is funny, but this episode just flopped. I didn't laugh once.
