No. In my opinion, we have good shows already. Doesn't Cartoon Network already air uncut Popeye cartoons directly after Adult Swim?

As Jerry Beck said on this subject matter..That Cartoon Network SHOULD air at least a classic cartoon show aimed at adults. That way fans could see their favorite cartoons Uncut and uncensored.

CN usually shies away from showing the Black & White cartoons, showing only the redrawns, though since The Popeye Show started, the Acme Hour hasn't been showing Popeye as much. Also, there are Indian gags, black caricatures, gun scenes, suicide gags and more that are cut out of original versions of Popeye and other classic cartoons. I think that it would be great if CN could have an Uncensored Cartoon block, either right before or, preferably, after Adult Swim. This would allow the block's adult audience to flow over into this cartoon block, which would also be on late enough to sufficiently deter the kiddies. Extend Adult Swim an extra hour and add the classic stuff, that way everyone can be happy.

I already consider all of Sunday late night to be part of Adult Swim. I consider The Popeye Show part of Adult Swim and I call the Boomerang after it "Adult Swim Boomerang", because that's essentially why they put the shows there. Because only the 18-34 demographic watches them anymore (that's a fact, Jack.. says Raphael the turtle).

I'll get around to adding sections for the Boomerang block and The Popeye Show eventually. They aren't "officially" part of Adult Swim, but I don't see how they aren't.

Because I can't think of any old show worth putting on AS uncut, I'll say no.

I think they should show uncut popeye just after AS. The stuff they show now is still cut. I'm going to ramble. Popeye is my favorite oldsKool*copyright* cartoon. He beats stuff up. Boom! Take that Bluto! Boom! Take that, endangered species! Boom! Take that, innocent bystander! Boom! Take that, sterotypical pre 1970's black charicature! Boom! Take that, oliveoyl! (On many occaisions, I might add) WIth the hippin and the hoppin and the bippin and the boppin...Plus he gets his super strength from drugs. In the 1930s-50s, Crops were sprayed with DDT, including popeye's wacky topinnach. As a result of eating the poison-laced crops, Popeye's cheek permanantly fused to his eye, and he gained an extra orifice on his chin for smoking his pipe.

    He was also rendered sterile.

But then again...super steriod induced strength...

Well that's what CN is doing right now...The Popeye Show airs right after AS is over.

    It's called Toon Heads.

Toon Heads is just a repackaging of toons you can already find on the network in the ACME Hour and Bugs and Daffy blocks. Even worse, they're all horribly editted.

If WB would grow up and let them run the toons uncut/uneditted, I would recommend that show.

Adult Swim should air O Canada right before SGC2C until they have enough new eps of Sealab, Birdman, Brak and ATHF. They used to air it afterward until AS.

It may not be good, but Toon Heads *is* the classic toon show aimed at adults. If they go back and lessen the editing, that's probably where they'd start.

If you want to see one of the more controversial cartoons, goto www.ifilm.com.They have a banned Popeye episode about the Japanese during WW2. You'll be surprised.

Toonheads is a well made documentary on old cartoons. "The Controversy(sp?) of 1946" was a great episode.
