    Clerks

This might have been mentioned somewhere else but oh well, I think that they should bring Clerks the Animated Series to AS. I know that the show is not owned by Time Warner like most of the other shows are, so it would be harder to obtain, but then again they got Home Movies. But if anyone here actually remembers Clerks it was hilarious and I think that since ABC will no longer air it that CN should. On another note they should bring back The Critic while I'm thinking about it, now that show was wet your pants funny. Oh well I just hope they bring some more shows back from there grave.

I would be a happy man if Clerks were to appear on Adult Swim. Am I going to hold out for it? Not really, I'm pretty sure Kevin Smith has given up on it.

I bought the Clerks: Uncensored DVD, and it's friggin' hilarious, though. 6 eps, and not a single one of them drags. Plus, the commentary is great, as well. Definately check it out.

Can they DO that? I mean, with Fox running the Live Action series and all? I know the differences between copyright holders is the reason for Capt. Liberty and Batmanuel (rather than American Maid and Die Fladermaus), but would CC still be able to run the animated series and all?

    Yeah....
Fox aired it's X-Men Animated Show when the movie was about to come out....and X-Men evolution was in it's 1st season @ the time...

If you've got the rights, you can air the show..it's proabably BECAUSE CC has the rights to "The Tick" that Fox couldn't use those characters...I dunno for sure though...

Comedy Central doesn't air The Tick anymore. Believe me, I've checked.

They only air Duckman and The Critic. They don't air Dr. Katz because Duckman replaced Dr. Katz.

Also, Clerks is coming back for a second season, but Kevin Smith wants to finish the animated movie, "Clerks Sell Out", before doing it. Probably because he wants to make sure he can secure a job for Paul Dini.. A show that lacks Paul Dini suffers. Just look at Justice League.

Maybe by the time the movie comes out (Summer 2003), Adult Swim will be big enough to support a show like Clerks. But that's a far ways off.

Did Penny Arcade start before or after Clerks? PA seemed to change their style mid-way to match it. And that president from Canada (or whoever) from Clerks shows up in a PA strip!

Penny-Arcade was around before Clerks, and the 'new' style came around in 2000, a LONG time before the Clerks cartoon arrived. It's just coincidence that P-A is as hilarious as the Clerks cartoon.

I was hoping Tycho and Gabe would apply to work on the Clerks show..

if clerks came back.. that would kick so much ass!
i don't think it would fit in on as, but maybe comedy central should offer them some money. The dvd is worth the buy/rent because not only are the episodes funny, but the comentary is some of the funniest ****.

    Clerks...

Clerks is not just some of the funniest ****, it's all of the funniest ****. And it wasn't the president of Canada, it was the King of Canada. A king is much funnier than a president. GO BUY THE DVDS!!!! NOW!!!!!
