Best episode so far. I'm not sure if the science is right about the mantis eye wasp attraction thing, but it was great. That was the best use of a floating eye since Mad Max 3! I will end with one word: Monkey!
Post your reviews and/or thoughts here on tonight's episode, and the good ones will be placed on the episode page for that show, here at the Fansite!
Last week went well, and I was able to get up both Balloonenstein and Waltz for Venus episode pages with a considerable amount of reviews(including ones from the other AS forum).
Keep 'em coming!

i couldn't realy get into it. Only time i even considered laughing was when brak's dad said "Go to hell". I think they misused zorak. damn them! they need to get this show going right now, they need an episode or two that's actualy worth watching. Atleast they are replaying all that jaz.
"The Eye" was a crap factory that went absolutely nowhere. Literally, they stayed in the kitchen the whole episode.
hey, don't diss episodes that stay in one set!
the last episode of clerks was great, and they always stayed in the store...
why does the eye sound like fat albert?
I have to aggree that this one kinda sucked.
but hey, they talked about monkeys so what do i care?
Hi everybody! This is my first post. Some of you might know me from other Adult Swim forums or chat rooms. Anyways, I'll get right to the review...
This had to be the worst episode of the Brak Show. I did not laugh throughout the whole thing. This episode had only three good things going for it. The first was one of Brak's lines, "I guess you just had to be there." It was a funny line, not funny enough to make me laugh but funny compared to the rest of the show. The second was that there was no singing in the middle of the episode. And the third was Brak's monkey song during the credits, that's the only time there should ever be singing, unless it has to do with the plot (like in "The War Next Door"). I still had hope that the Brak Show would miraculously become good, but after this episode all of that hope has faded away.
"The Eye"
Plot(If you could call it one): Dad and Zorak have a staring contest.
Pros:Not alot but... Some of the jokes were ok, I liked the wasp thing. And brak losing his jaw was good.
Cons-Thoughts: This episode was just too boring, It was one of the few that needed a Brak song and more Brak. I was dissapointed at the lack of Thundercleese and Mom in the episode.

"Petticoat BRAK", as it was dubbed in the opening titles (as far as I'm concerned, this joke will never get old), featured Brak's Dad reading about a staring contest in the paper and reminiscing about how he was the all-time staring champ, nicknamed the Stare. Some stuff I loved about the ep:
- Dad vs. Zorak (though the wasps soon became overkill)
- The Eye (who sounded just like Fat Abbot from an episode of "South Park")
- Mom helping Brak re-attach his jaw; sidebar: I didn't know that Andy Merrill also voiced Meatwad on ATHF
- Come on, who didn't yell out "Hey, it's the Hair Bear Bunch!" upon seeing Dad's old look?
- Brak laughing his way across the kitchen floor
I can't wait to see what's next.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

The first part with the monkeys was great. Then I feared this episode would crash and burn like a bad SNL sketch. Then Zorak came in, ripped off Brak's mouth, and my faith in this show was restored. This wasn't the best episode, but it certainly wasn't the worst. The writers are little by little figuring out the way this show should be.

though not as good as other episodes of BS this one was cool. I guess they felt they needed to give dad more air time. Fav part was with Brak and his laughing about the monkey. and I'm glad I'm not the only one who shouted "fat albert" when the EYE showed up.

Either its because the show is on late at night, so I'm "in that mood" anyway..or..I dunno..
But this was a great episode, in my opinion. I loved the Zorak-stealing-Braks-Chin gag...that was good.
Andy Merrill is NOT Meatwad, Dave Willis is. He made a cameo in this ep.
--actually better than "Mobab", I thought...or the one where the family inexplicably turned into giant livers in the end.
Man, did those wasps look creepily photorealistic. :shudder:
Brak's dad's eye tricks were the highlight of the short. I also loved Mom's low-key remarks about the hairdryer. "It was on high, too."
Also loved Dad's lionesque hippie look. "It took half the morning to comb out--but it was worth it!" As a beard man myself, I sympathise.
Very abrupt and to-the-point ending--"Go to hell."
Funny episode!
I liked it when Dad tricked Brak into blinking by presuing him into thinking there is a message from his girlfriend and an invitation to a waterpark writen on his eyelids. The eye tricks between Zorak and Dad were hilarious.
Dad: Brak your eyes are getting dryer. They are Dry. Dry. DRY!
Brak: Actually, my eyes are felling quite dewy, thank you very much.
Dad: I don't care how much you complain, you can blow the hair dryer in my face for three days. I still won't blink.
Mom: He's not kidding. And it was even on high.
I think Scooby-Doo is knida over-rated and all of the HB Dogs should be praised.
Wouldn't it be great if their could be more Peanuts specials on DVD?

The Eye episode inspired me to go into staring contests! Just kidding. That is my fave Brak Show episode. (Didn't you see how Dad looked like with a Blond affro?) It was a very funny episode! Dad made history with his words. "Here,You Go First" How genourous!
