Anime on Adult Swim

Okay. I know that there's already a thread about what shows people would like to see on Adult Swim. But I want to know specifically what ANIME people would like to see. I mean, come on, Cowboy Bebop is insanely wonderful ( my opinion, not yours )
but after it gets done airing this time around, it'll start to get old. This happened to Tenchi, Gundam Wing, etc. on Toonami, and I don't want it to happen to Bebop too. Any thoughts/posts would be appreciated.

I'd really like to see Escaflowne, or Neon Genesis Evangelion, and some of the other Gundam series. They are so many, they would be able to show two different series at once, and still not show old episodes!

Well, you don't have to watch a show when it's on more than once, you know. I like the fact that CN gives thier shows a good running - it gives people the chance to become fans of the show.

Anyway, my list for other anime I'd like to see on AS:

"Sugoi Yo! Masaru-san" - this one is, of course, totally impossible because no one has seen fit to dub the series. Nevertheless, there's no anime I know that would fit in as well with the other AS shows. It has a Freakazoid-esque sensibility, along with some Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy thrown in. It's one of the funniest anime I've ever seen

"Trigun" - Not the best anime I've ever seen, but I like it. ^_^ A good mix of humor and drama.

"The Vision of Escaflowne" - I love this anime, but there are all kinds of problems with it running on Adult Swim. If CN ever does get it, it'll probably go to Toonami. Still, I have a dream that it will show on AS unedited.

And if they ever decide to do movies on Adult Swim:

"Vampire Hunter D" - CN even used to have the rights to this one.
"Grave of the Fireflies" - totally opposite of the feel of the other shows on AS, but I think diversity is good.
"Twighlight of the Cocaroaches" - ditto

I'd love to see any of those shows. I'm not much of an anime follower, but when they are presented free (i'm cheap) on tv, I watch them. Cowboy Bebop was well recieved and hopefully it will lead to more mature series for Adult Swim in the future. God knows we don't want "Zoids".

Might be a good place to put Inuyasha. Noir maybe, NGE unlikely (waaay to much to edit), Tylor and Trigun definitely.

I'd also throw in Rurouni Kenshin and Nadesico.

Much as I'd like to see something really trippy like Lain and Boogipop Phantom, or on the opposite side, something lighter like Saber Marionette J and Love Hina, I don't think they'd really fit the block as it is right now.

I'd love to see Ranma 1/2. It has 200 episodes. But only if the nudity ban is lifted.

The problem with Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha is that they, like the Vision of Escaflowne, are essentially aimed at teenagers/pre-teens, not "Adults" per se. Besides, even if Cartoon Network did show Ranma 1/2 on Adult Swim, all the nudity would be edited out and that's half the show. Only Inu Yasha has any serious possibility of being on CN, and if they did get it they'd put it on Toonami.

Ha! If network censors had a coronay showing cop-ass on NYPD Blue, do you think any CN executive is going to o.k. a show with nudity in the title sequence?

Magic Knight Rayearth and MKR2 (but I suppose that could be shown on Toonami with some unfortunate editting)

I've seen the whole series of Escaflowne in Japanese, but when Fox tried the dubbed, it was really butchered. CN would probaly do the same. They did it to Card Captor Sakura too. I hate Card Captors......I love Card Captor Sakura.

trigun. deffinitly. trigun's a great show.
it'd also be cool to see FuriKuri (also know as FLCL), but it's an OAV, so there are only six eps. maybe it could be shown as a special or something. on the subject of OAVs, another good one would be Giant Robo. but again, there's only 7 eps. let's see...hmm...it might be interesting to see Tenshi Ni Narumon. that's a really bizare and funny show. or Excel Saga.
