And yet, few know why it was deleted in the first place.

    Sympathy For the Devil

Yep. For all that don't know, or didn't watch it, one of the scenes depicts a very bloody man falling out of one of a large builing's windows. I guess that the CN execs thought this might remind someone of the Sept. 11th attacks, so they cut it. Also, it wasn't shown the first time around, maybe moreso because of this, due to the fact that Spike

shoots a "child" on the head, not once, but twice
( I put the spoiler in there incase someone missed last night's 2nd episode ). So now you know. This is also (well, for the first reason anyway) why CN didn't air Waltz for Venus and Cowboy Funk the first time around, too.

    Actually--

--I thought it was seeing the "boy" crash a taxi into a building and it exploding into a fireball. Any sort of vehicle crashing into any sort of structure in such a fashion three months ago would be taboo.

The reason I don't think that part of your theory jives, Dr. Reef, is two fold:

    a) CN had explicitly stated that _all_ the episodes of CB would air. I'm sure they already knew the content of this episode, and that that particular thing you mentioned is kind of important to the plot. The only reason that this episode could have been cut would have to have something to do with September 11th. Besides,
    b)
    Spoiler:
Wen isn't really a kid, and this fact is revealed before anyone does violence to him.

    Sympathy for the Devil

Well...yeah...but they still edited out the bullet hole in his friggin' forehead. I guess this could be attributed to CN editing out almost all the blood, but I'm still desperately clinging to my theory. Oh well!
