I think toonami and adult swim should become a new network...?

No arguement from me!

If they spin off to form one network, I do have some requests, though.

1) Stop doing the custom beginnings for cartoons on Toonami. Please leave the original cartoons, opening and endings included, intact and alone.

2) Introduce Toonami Theater and Adult Swim Cinema, where we can see some rather adventureous movies. This could be THE channel where we could see movies like Perfect Blue, Princess Mononoke, Titan AE, Iron Giant, Fantastic Planet, Grave of the Fireflies, Heavy Metal (I know VH1 shows it but they cut it up too much.)

3) Since a decidely more mature and adult audience will be tuning in, perhaps we could see certain specialized live action shows, like a daily or even a weekly animation news show that covers everything from movies to TV to DVD releases to Internet news all in the world of animation. And I would like to see the Biography type shows I mentioned that might fill the void on Cartoon Network, only aimed towards older audiences.

4) Buy the animated shows from MTV, and show Daria in a stable time slot.

5) More original programming, especially Clerks. I know Kevin Smith wants to do new episodes, this would be the ideal place for him to do so. And on a related note, I'd like to see the channel finally get to the place where it could finance it's own made for TV movies.

6) Imports from countries other than Japan. Europe has a wealth of great animation that deserves to be seen here that isn't being seen becauase it can't be exploited like DBZ or Pokemon.

Well how about Toonami and Adult Swim merge and they just make a channel for adult cartoons. Toss in some of the anime, and some comedy...and hell a few classics, and just call it Cartoon Network: Adult.....or something a lot better. heh.

I like the idea. It could be refined somewhat....CNA, for example. Or perhaps CNX? I think tightening the name of the network into letter initials would be ideal for this kind of channel.

I think Boomerang could fare better if it was more readilly available to house holds. Right now, the only way I know how to get it is thru digital cable or a satellite service. That strongly limits the audience it will reach. They need to strike a deal or something with local cable companies and get the channel in part of the regular line up of channels.
