Celeberty Death Match and Adult SWim

    Like This Thread!
I think an awsome show for Adult Swim is Celebirty Death Match. Noyhing says Adult Swim like celebirty's killing and cussing each other, and stabing, hacking and slashing each other with strange objects.Do you all think it would be a cool show on Adult Swim?

I'm pretty sure that there is a whole thing with Viacom and MTV and what not that means the MTV toons like B&B, Undergrads, or Clone High will probably not end up on Adult Swim. Besides Celeb Deathmatch can be pretty dated at this point and is sort of going in the opposite direction AS is going with in the area of comedy.

I think some of the elements of Celebrity Deathmatch could stand the test of time, most of the people they characterized are still relevant today. But being somewhat dated would possibly be a stike against it, IF acquiring it were even possible...which all signs point to "no" given that Viacom networks tend to be kissing cousins and don't share with others outside the Viacom family.

If it were a few years ago and AS had the chance to snag it I'd bet money that they would have. But now the block seems poised to go a different direction by developing home grown comedys and third party originals.

The-N should put those three on. They already have Daria, so. . . I used to love Beavis and Butthead (classic), Clone High (though it was short lived, it was good), and Undergrads (rocked).

But that's so far off-topic! I agree that AS probably won't get the rights to show CDM.

It'd be cool to have it on Adult Swim but I doubt it will be coming anytime...

Celebrity Deathmatch was awful. The first episode where Hanson fought the Spice Girls was funny. But, it got old after that. The writing was just awful. It seemed like a five year old playing with action figures was writing the show.

Only a handful of those matches were funny in my opinion. It really sunk low when they had Stone Cold Steve Austin as a regular, travel through time to get historical figures to fight, and even worse, have monsters fight. If you have MTV 2, you can catch that and Beavis and Butthead (now that's a good show) every now and then. Well, last time I checked at least.
