THe answer to so much pee in Venture Brothers

Oh yeah...about the pee jokes (since someone here asked and many have commented on the adultswim and toonzone boards, as well as others)...we don't know. We're not particularly pee obsessed men, Doc and I, though we both have famously tiny bladders and ingest vast amounts of coffee, soda, water and, in Doc's case, awful purple drinks of dubious flavoring. And we certainly didn't intend to have a running pee gag in every episode but I think we became self aware of just how many we had made somewhere toward the end of the season, I'll admit. But look at it this way: the average person pees what--? half a dozen times in a given day? Double that for me and Doc. The average Venture Bros. episode takes place over the course of something like 6-48 hours. Naturally, someone in the show is going to have to take a leak in that amount of time, right? I'll admit, some of the jokes we've made about nature's sterile yellow man-river have been a little...rank, but you figure out how to get Hank out of bed and onto the helipad of his hydrofoil at four in the morning! You figure out how to block the mind-bending mental waves of a Joy Can! You figure out how to defile a mummy completely so it won't come back to life! The jokes do stem from the moment and the story, I think, and are never (okay, rarely) gratuitous.

hahah. Well that makes sense, nice to hear an explanation, even though I haven't thought of the amount of peeing in the episodes is a problem. I really dont' even notice it until someone eventually complains that it's in an episode for the umpteenth time.

There is nothing wrong with the pee jokes, people. Atleast they're not trying to make that the main focus of the show. Otherwise we'd have another Harvey Birdman AAL on our hands.

That's pretty cool, I gotta check that journal out, the pee gag do get annoying at times but it's not that bad.
