What pisses me off of the ratings...(I couldn't think of a good title)

You know when [as] viewed the top 3 ratings for weekends and weekdays?

For weekdays, Futurama has more than Inuyasha.

I didn't think about it at first, but when I saw a post at a thread, saying Lupin was bombing, I realized something.

People watch Futurama more because more people are still awake at that time. Dectective Conan/Case Closed and Lupin might not be getting the big ratings because of their TIME SLOT. Most adults can't watch a damn show in 1 at the morning because they have to go to sleep. I think it's like common sense. We anime fans have to stay up late becuase our favorite shows are on (I can do that since I am on vacation; I go to school!). I bet most people don't even know anime is on since it's at a really later time.

I mean, "What the heck?" In those days of "the old people in the pool" Adult Swim, anime was seen more, for god's sake! I mean, Cowboy Bebop was at 12 AM!

Okay, to some of you, I might not make a point. People might even bomb this thread since they don't care. I do. I am NOT watching anime at ONE O CLOCK IN THE DAMN MORNING!

I don't care if this thread is even closed the first minute Maune or Tienshin looks at this. I'm making my own point that everyone can see. Anime on [as] can't get those big ratings since they're on late at night. You get the picture?

(Well, yeah, I mean, adults can't stay up that late. I slept over at my aunts house once and I was watching in her bedroom. Unluckily, she was in the room, sleeping. She woke up when CC came on and told me to go to sleep right there and now, she had to wake up in the morning to do her job. And my mom makes me go to sleep sometimes at 12....11:30...I think you might get it)

Unless I'm mistaken (which I don't think I am), Inuyasha's ratings have gone up for the most part since it got the Futurama/Sealab lead-in.

And, unless I'm mistaken again, Lupin got crappy ratings while in the 12:00 AM spot.

In response to LightShadow, I kindly agree. It's hard to watch your favourite shows sometimes on CN, especially when it comes on so late and your eyes are drooping fast and the bed is calling your name. What's the remedy for it though? If you bring Adult Swim on, or the more adult animes on too early then people will be on CN's back about children seeing the shows and the content being bad and bla bla bla . No wonder adults get bags under their eyes, cause they're staying up to watch their favourite shows lol. It would be cool if a separate channel was created called ADULT SWIM CN which could bring on whichever mature content they chose, just like how they have the separate CN boomerang channel. Hey it's just me expressing my p.o.v so no one bash me for it please . I love Lupin, I love Inuyasha, I love all the adult swim shows. Send those kids to bed earlier parental units .

I feel your pain. I'd really prefer that everything starting at 1AM be reruns. I have to be at work somewhat early so unless I am feeling ambitious I don't watch Case Closed...which is a shame because the show is very enjoyable.

That said, the obvious solution is record the stuff that is on that late.

I think AS is still just trying to establish themselves. If you look at it from their view, it becomes clear.

Look at Saturday. InuYasha and WR have a niche audience. It's not gonna lose ratings by placing it at a later time. So what do they do? They put it in the back and bring in a ratings grabber that appeals to the mainstream. I think we all know how well that did. And did anime lose ratings? No. It gained ratings if you don't count last week. Of course this means that anime won't get tremendous ratings, but AS doesn't care since they have other shows that can get the same ratings without the effort. It's all about the $ in the end.

But I think everyone knows that. It's become common knowledge. As for your problem, learn to program your VCR or get TiVo. Or move out.

Timeslot doesn't really make a difference. Remember that your TV is not sending any data to anyone. Neilson families fill out surveys, man. If you were given a survey to put down what you watched last week, I bet you would write down all of the anime on Adult Swim regardless of whether you watched it or not, right? To support it? Well that's what we're dealing with. The reason why these Neilson families don't put down anime on their surveys is not because they fall asleep before it comes on. They choose NOT to put them down. In other words, they are not anime fans. They want to support Futurama, Sealab, Aqua Teens, shows that THEY enjoy. You'll just have to live with it.

Baby blues and Mission Hill have gotten top ratings in their late night time slots, so all this time slot stuff may not be such a big deal.
If people like a show, they find a way to see it.
Even though I personally would love to have CC on at 11:00, I think it is well teamed with Lupin, which would never again be shown before 1:00, 12:30 tops.

Personally, I think InuYasha isn't that good, but I don't see it getting cancelled. Haha I like the three animes you said were bad. I own Kikdaider and Lupin DVDs.

Zenigata is an inspector, and he doesn't do any detective work at all. Just chases and chases Lupin, and tries to set up traps. That's about it.
