Witch Hunter Robin opening taken from....Madonna?

    Like This Thread!
Did anyone know this? I know I didn't. If you've watched the dvds or fansubs, you can see the original opening for WHR. What's scary is that it has eerie similarities to the Madonna video Take A Bow. Don't believe me.

It's weird how they match tho I've never really gotten to see the opening I've heard the music. But those do match oddly

thought it looked familar. compared directly, it almost seems shot for shot, maybe even rotoscoped (doesn't look it though.) why they'd go that route, lord only knows though.

What's with the random bold lettering?

Also it could be coincidence...I mean is Madonna big in Japan?

Coincidence? That's a laugh. Yes, Madonna is well known in Japan, they're pretty up to date on anything largley popular in the US. It isn't India or the Middle East for pete's sake (in 1998, my cousin calls from India asking if we've heard of this new artist named Micheal Jackson...)

    Television Blows. So enjoy it.

Yeah but there is one major difference...

Shell is way better than Take A Bow...

    way better....

If anything I'd sorta think it's a tribute or somthing...

It seems like 2ch found that journal entry or something. Funny.

Overall, that's pretty interesting. It's definetely intentional, although the rip-off or tribute is up for grabs. Although the latter seems more likely.

This would be a great case for Harvey Birdman. We'll see this episode complete in mid 2005.

Wouldn't that be like Harvey Birdman: Shoyu Weenie. Where like a Japanese pop band, known as "Shoyu Weenie", accuses the American rock band, "Jabberjaw & The Neptunes" of like stealing one of their songs

A rip off would be id the music actualy sounded vaguly similar and the character was dressed vaguly similar to Madonna

That explains so much. I've always thought the opening didn't really fit the show.

    Cool.

Of course ripping-off wise, it has nothing on Big O's 'Respect'.
