This cartoon was nominated for the Best Cartoon Short for last year's Oscars and is probably one of the greatest recent cartoons ever made.

Excellent... The last time I saw this was when Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted festival came to town. I also got to see Pixar's For the Birds (brilliant) as well as some truly horrible animation (don't even ask about Sloaches Fun House). But Rejected had the audience laughing much harder than any other film. Believe me, Don Hertzfeldt is HIGHLY revered at UCSB--I know many people who will be interested in this news.

Glad to see someone else posted this, because, if no one else did, I was going to. I hope this bodes well for other, out-of-the-ordinary, material on CN. Bravo!

I want to see the "lost" recent Warner cartoons, "Father of the Bird", "Pullet Surprise", "Another Froggy Evening", and "Little Go Beep." It's a good idea to debut individual shorts that some people wouldn't be aware of otherwise. Disney aired "John Henry" on TV, but Warner has not aired many of their recent shorts, and the independent films have, unfortunately, very limited TV exposure.

I suspect that the recent WB shorts will ultimately make it to CN sometime, just as Box-Office Bunny and From Hare To Eternity did. Independents have virtually no exposure whatsoever. Encore has run NFBC shorts and has also run Canhead, but most networks won't even bother. Sundance did a festival last year honoring John and Faith Hubley and after that, the last major thing was PBS with Internationl Animation Festival back in the late 1970s! *sigh*

CN just added Mansion Cat to their Tom & Jerry rotation; i've no doubt we'll be seeing the other '90's LTs, eventually. Like in a few years, a decade or two. But I remain optimistic, yet realistic. Well, I'll take what comes; I've got a choice?

But Mansion Cat was also part of The Cartoon Cartoon Show!

I'd put up a story about this at the news page, but I'm gonna wait first, mostly because there is no date currently listed at the page. It could be anywhere from January to June....

uncut, uncensored, and commercial-free to boot! I am really glad CN is taking this direction! I see this really adding a lot to Adult Swim and making the line up even stronger.
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

It's most likely gonna get a TV-MA rating if it's airing uncut. No, it doesn't break the taste barrier, but it has language and stuff that Williams Street usually edits out, so they'll have to bump things up a notch. Which will probably lead to other TV-MA airings in the future...
