Jack Kirby Museum Opens Virtual Doors

an appreciation of Jack has opened up its official website on what would have been Kirby’s 88th birthday. The website currently hosts a video interview with Kirby and rare artwork. (via Mark Evanier’s weblog, who also posted an appreciation of Jack on August 28)

Gail Simone Talks "Birds of Prey" #85, Barbara Gordon

The Clark County Public Library in Ohio has announced its lineup for its Speaker Series for 2005-6, which includes Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee and Prairie Home Companion host Garrison Keillor. Sadly, the two will not be appearing together.

Frank Espinosa Talks "Rocketo" Comics

Frank Espinosa has spoken to ComicBookResources.com about Rocketo, his new comic book series set after a major cataclysm. Espinosa’s prior work included redesigning the Looney Tunes characters for Warner Brothers in 1992 and 2002. Rocketo is published by Speakeasy Comics, and issue #1 is available at comic book stores starting today.
