It's impossible to know just how far ahead the developers of Legend of Zelda think when making their games. But this mask right here is both spooky and telling if you think about it.
The Skull Mask may not have "powers" but, it's who you sell it too that gets you think. Cause you sell it to the Skull Kid. Yes, THAT Skull Kid, who is the puppet for Majora in Majora's Mask. In fact, at the end of MM, the Skull Kid recalls this interaction regardless of whether you did it or not. Thankfully, this isn't the mask that causes all the trouble in MM, but isn't it ironic that you sell it to him in the first place?
