"He-Man" Returning to North America on DVD

The UK’s Entertainment Rights PLC has struck a deal to distribute Filmation’s He-Man cartoons to DVD in North America, Ireland On-line reports. Entertainment Rights plans to release previously unavailable He-Man cartoons to the United States in 2005. Entertainment Rights acquired the episodes from Hallmark.

"Postman Pat" Gets Euro Airdates

Entertainment Rights PLC has sold Postman Pat to Nickelodeon channels in Belgium, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, Ireland On-line reports.

"A Tree of Palm" Gets DVD Release

Animated Bliss says that ADV Films will release A Tree of Palme to DVD on March 8. The DVD will retail for $29.98.

Complete "Astro Boy" Coming to DVD

The recent remake of Astro Boy will land on store shelves with a five-disc DVD release collecting all fifty episodes of the series, including twenty-nine episodes that have not aired on Kids WB, TVShowsOnDVD reports. The March 29 release will retail for $49.95.

Kraft Cuts Back on Kid Advertising

Kraft Foods will stop advertising sugary foods on television and radio where the primary audience is under 12, the New York Daily News reported last week. Big News Network notes that toon networks are likely to be hardest hit by the announcement.
