WizardWorld Atlanta Announcement Triggers Creator Conflict

Yesterday’s announcement of WizardWorld Atlanta, currently scheduled to run from June 30 – July 2, 2006, has triggered a minor firestorm of controversy due to its scheduling on the same weekend as HeroesCon in nearby North Carolina. Numerous comic book professionals have declared that they are boycotting WizardWorld Atlanta to appear at HeroesCon instead.

More "Ren & Stimpy" Coming to DVD in November

Paramount is planning to release an “ultimate” box set of The Ren & Stimpy show to DVD on November 8, TV Shows on DVD reports. The site cautions that the release date is unofficial. Separately, TV Shows on DVD also says that November 8 will see the release of the Adult Party Cartoons to DVD.

Wizard Announces Atlanta Comic Convention Starting in 2006

Wizard Entertainment has announced a new annual convention to be held in Atlanta, GA. The first WizardWorld Atlanta is currently scheduled for June 30 – July 2, 2006, and will join the five other conventions held in Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Arlington, Texas.
